Surprise performances, performances for children and families and a Father Christmas village under the Loggia.
Treviso, 23 November 2021 – A Christmas of tradition, street artists, music and theatre. The Enchanted Christmas 2021 was presented at Palazzo Rinaldi, an event scheduled from 26 November
to 6 January to celebrate together the most anticipated festivities of the year.
The Christmas events are promoted by the Departments of Culture, Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Treviso with the support of the Chamber of Commerce Treviso-Belluno
Dolomites, the main trade associations, CentroMarca Banca and many private partners. Most of the shows will be surprise performances, including performers, musicians and touring plays: a
wide-ranging programme from the centre to the neighbourhoods, capable of catapulting citizens, visitors and families into the traditional Christmas atmosphere.
The touring performances will feature dancers, artists, musicians, choral groups, marching bands, actors and theatrical groups: all the shows will take place between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm
between Isola della Pescheria, Ponte dei Buranelli, Santa Maria dei Battuti, Loggia dei Cavalieri, Piazza Rinaldi and Piazza dei Signori.
In the old town centre, on the water and in the neighbourhoods, illuminations and light trees will be back, as well as the now traditional Enchanted Loggia, conceived and created by
Michele Crema for the MC3 Design studio, which this year will host the Village and the House of Father Christmas: every weekend, in fact, the children’s idol will welcome the children
for the delivery of their letters or for a photo (Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
In a festively dressed Treviso there will also be space for the new Christmas Post Office, with two elves who will move around the city to collect letters. Children’s wishes, intentions or
simple Christmas messages can be posted in Father Christmas’s Box, located in Piazza dei Signori, near the monumental tree. In January, the 10 most beautiful letters will be chosen: simply enter
your telephone number to receive a special gift if you win.
Christmas Run. Enchanted Christmas 2021 will have its first highlight on Wednesday 8 December with the Christmas Run, a 5 km free walk in which participants will be dressed as
Father Christmas along the streets of the city to breathe in the magic of the festive season and support Advar and the City of Hope Foundation: the event will be open to people of all ages, with a
special focus on children. The Christmas Run will be open to all ages, with a special focus on children. The Christmas Run will be able to accommodate up to two thousand participants: adults, with
the registration, will receive the Father Christmas suit that they will wear during the event, while children and teens will receive the characteristic red cap.
Lighting of the tree in Piazza dei Signori. Once again this year the lighting of the monumental tree, donated by the Municipality of Brunico with the support of Volksbank, will take place on
a surprise day and time. The tree will be personalised, thanks to the precious support of Coin, with smart lights by Twinkly, capable of reproducing animations and extraordinary light effects. On
the occasion of the lighting, 50 dancers will gather in Piazza dei Signori for an artistic flashmob. The event will be filmed and will give life to the traditional video of good wishes of the City
of Treviso.
Street artists. Among the street artists performing in the City over the weekend will be Candy Candy, two dancing candy canes, the Wishing Sprites on stilts and strange
bicycles,
The Lords of the Snow, break-dancing imps, King Ice and Dame Snow, who improvise snowfalls on stilts.
Among the travelling shows there will also be the “Carrozzone Musicale” in the style of Fellini’s Circus, which will be the base for the performances of the most diverse artists, bringing
an atmosphere of amazement and beauty with the group The Bebidens, four colourful musicians and a dancer who will play pieces for children and families, and Clown in Corsia, which
will bring entertaining shows between entertainment and solidarity.
Music. There will be no shortage of top musicians with their reinterpretations of international hits in a Christmas key. Carlo Colombo, pianist and singer, will tell stories of
everyday life and perform original songs and jazz-swing covers, bringing swinging atmospheres from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, accompanied by jazz musicians. Unusual Trio will play
contemporary songs, arranged in an acoustic version both vocally and instrumentally. Vocals, guitar and percussion will create a unique and engaging atmosphere. The Funkasin Street
Band will bring a non-stop travelling show with 12 wind instruments and three percussion instruments for a real street parade.
And more: the vocal group Solinsewith traditional Italian and European Christmas songs sung a cappella; Giazzati 4et – a Treviso jazz band enhanced by the voice of Valeria Bruniera
– will offer a concert of Christmas songs, where the songs are interpreted between swing, bossa and jazz.
The Springo Street Band, 20 members dressed in Christmas costumes, will bring the most famous Christmas songs to the city centre; the duo composed of Rita Brincoletto and Diego
Vio will perform a repertoire of songs including international hits, spirtiuasl and gospel.
Finally, there will be KynThreeo, a trio of musicians from Treviso with a repertoire ranging from jazz standards to covers of Italian and international rock and pop music. Among the
performers there will also be Diego Basso with the Art Voice Academy Choir, who will bring Christmas music and songs.

Christmas Enchanted has accustomed us to great emotions and this year too we are ready to fill the City with artists, lights and shows, – says the Mayor of Treviso Mario Conte. –
I would like to thank Deputy Mayor De Checchi and Councillor Colonna Preti, who have worked to ensure a programme capable of involving not only the productive fabric but also
performers and the local community, offering quality shows that will truly involve everyone, from music lovers of the most varied genres to children, with a village under the Loggia and
initiatives organised for them and with them. In addition, there will be some wonderful new features concerning the lights, which will make Treviso even more evocative in the eyes of
visitors.
The Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Treviso share a three-year strategic partnership that sees a succession of events and initiatives, including Natale Incantato. This event, –
