One of the most popular farmers’ markets in the Marca trevigiana. After two years, the Thursday morning farmers’ market in the Santa Maria del Rovere district has returned to its
new location, the renovated Piazza Martiri di belfiore.
The move, dictated by the massive work of modernization of the entire neighborhood, has seen us in these two years always active, even in periods Covid, thanks to the collaboration with the
parish of St. Anne who hosted us at the parish sports field – explains Giorgio Polegato, President of Coldiretti Treviso – The work as a whole will end next spring, the square is the
first part returned to full use of the inhabitants of the district, who can appreciate the overall improvement of facilities. I say bravo to our farmers who populate the Campagna Amica markets with
their local products, but above all by explaining their production methods and also the secrets of their use in the kitchen. I think that over the years farmers have honoured their pact with
consumers by building up a reputation that sees them as points of reference that can be trusted completely.
The official inauguration took place today, Thursday 9 December.
Representatives of the municipal administration and the parish were there. Now we expect many citizens of the neighborhood that have supported and waited for us in these two years – Polegato
concludes – It was a real team effort that has seen the City of Treviso as the author of a great intervention for the community.
