Mafia infiltration in the economy – the title of the conference organised by Anci Veneto and the Veneto Region in the ‘De Michelis’ auditorium of M9 in Mestre.

In addition to the experts from the University of Padua (Giovanni Vaia, Antonio Parbonetti, Roberto Flor), the regional councillor for Local Police, Cristiano Corazzari, the regional councillor Roberto Bet, and representatives of the economic categories (Unitary Committee of Professions, CCIAA, Coldiretti, trade unions, industrial associations, and Confapi) also took part.

The fight against mafias in Veneto is fundamental to protect our institutions, our economic fabric, and our communities, –  commented Mario Conte, president of Anci Veneto. That is why the Protocol of Legality demonstrates a strong will on the part of the Veneto Region, Anci Veneto, and the categories to fight the phenomenon all together. Among the many activities we carry out, in the past six months Anci has organised training and refresher courses for local police forces that have seen more than 2,500 participants, and among the topics to be addressed is the fight against organised crime. Because it is precisely in the capillary control of the territory carried out by our tireless local police in synergy with the Police Force, from training and in-depth study of specific topics that the fight against mafias finds its concretisation.
