Today and tomorrow, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform, Elisa Ferreira, is in Bulgaria to discuss the forthcoming conclusion of the Partnership Agreement with Bulgaria,
which lays down the country’s strategy for cohesion policy investments in 2021-2027, as well as the support to the country under the
Just Transition Fund. She will meet President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadjov and
other government officials. She will also visit the town of Vidin as well as several EU cohesion policy funded projects. On 10 June, Commissioner Ferreira will deliver a keynote
speech at the opening of the Conference ‘The Green Deal – innovation,
investment and just transition’, bringing together European and Bulgarian leaders to discuss the green transition. Press briefings are foreseen today at 14h00 in Vidin in High School ‘Tsar Simeon
Veliki’ and tomorrow, 10 June, at 16h15 with Prime-Minister Kiril Petkov and Deputy Prime-Minister Assen Vassilev at the Council of Ministers.
