Confartigianato Belluno has long been committed as an association to the fight for equal rights between men and women; in fact, in 2023 it obtained the Gender Equality Certification, a positive signal and example for all member firms.

The commitment of women is fundamental – comments the President of Confartigianato Imprese Belluno, Claudia Scarzanella for them to be spokespeople for the values of equity in order to effect cultural change starting from the world of work within companies, so that it also has positive repercussions in the private sphere of citizens and families.

Confartigianato Belluno therefore takes this opportunity to pay tribute to women artisans, a vital force for Belluno’s craft industry. The poster’s slogan reads “Costruiamo assieme il nostro futuro” (Let’s build our future together), a clear and strong message to all women.

There are 625 female artisan enterprises in the province, representing 13.6% of artisan enterprises in the province of Belluno.

We all have a feminine part, we all have a masculine part, defining them and making differences is nowadays, perhaps, superfluous – the words of the President of the Women’s Group of Confartigianato Belluno, Roberta De Salvador let it be a March 8 in which we remember that when these two parts in the human being coexist and find strength together, that is where our best comes out. Even in business.

On March 8, International Women’s Rights Day, established by the United Nations, we celebrate the social, political and economic achievements made over centuries of struggle for equal rights.

Women’s work continues to grow and is an indispensable aspect of employment development. Women consider work a fundamental activity, to be preserved throughout life because it is important for personal identity as a guarantee of independence and social recognition. Despite the fact that they are increasingly present in every sphere of work and achieve prominent positions in many sectors, these changes have not been systematically considered in the organization of work in companies. In fact, there remain, strong imbalances represented by the still low presence of women at high levels of classification and their near absence at top levels. Maternity and work discontinuity are in fact obstacles for women to reach top roles in the company. This de facto situation is generated by many factors, including the occurrence of gender-based discrimination within companies.
