These are some of the main focuses of the second edition of the ‘Sustainability Week’ promoted by Confindustria Veneto Est, created as a place for meeting and listening to all the players in the area, businesses, schools, universities, start-ups and public administration, in a single event from 15 to 19 May 2023 at the Complesso Sant’Artemio in Treviso, enriched this year by events in the territories of Padua, Venice and Rovigo. The programme, the protagonists and the novelties of the event were presented today at Palazzo Giacomelli in Treviso.
After the success of the first year, with 1,200 participants and 30 events, the leitmotif of this second edition will be the focus on social topics and the impact on the economy and work, looking at ambitious targets in transition processes. Meetings and seminars, training programmes and workshops, success stories, academies, art exhibitions and even a sustainable aperitif are among the 43 events on the calendar, all open to the public.
“The European and global industrial policy is increasingly declining in terms of sustainability, and this is what work, education, investments, consumption choices, and lifestyles are focusing on,’ says Leopoldo Destro, President of Confindustria Veneto Est. ‘The Sustainability Week of Confindustria Veneto Est is dedicated to this transition, which involves all of us, as companies, communities, and people, as an opportunity for meeting, dialogue, and exchange of experiences and best practices, in an area that is already at the top of the national green economy. Social welfare and future competitiveness pass from here, and we must learn to speak a common language and share values, commitments and objectives for inclusive and sustainable growth’.
