Cortina 2021. The Men’s Giant will be opened by the Swiss Marco Odermatt

Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), February 18, 2021 – Swiss Marco Odermatt will open the men’s Giant slalom of the World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo scheduled Friday 19th on
the Labirinti slope, which has been groomed and prepared to perfection by the men of the organization.
Immediately afterwards it will be the turn of the Croatian Filip Zubcic, silver medalist in the parallel giant slalom, of the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, reigning giant slalom
champion, and of the French Alexis Pinturault who, in the alpine combined, has given up the sceptre to the Austrian Marco Schwarz.
With 5 it will be the turn of the Slovenian Zan Kranjec, then the Norwegian Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen (6), the Swiss Loic Meillard (7), the French Victor
(8) and Mathieu Faivre (9) – world champion in the parallel giant slalom – and the German Alexander Schmid (10), the Swiss Justin Murisier (11), the
Italian Luca De Aliprandini (12), the Austrian Roland Leitinger (13), the Swiss Gino Caviezel (14) and the Canadian Erik Read (15). First heat at 10:00 am, second at
1:30 pm. There are 100 competitors registered, representing 63 nations.
