Belluno, 6 March 2024 – The Rise of Artificial Intelligence. The urgency of a new type of education. The role of patient and far-sighted finance. Sustainability as an inescapable goal. There are many challenges (and opportunities) for Italian manufacturing. This is why MECSPE, Italy’s leading trade fair on innovations for the manufacturing industry, is hosting the Start Up Factory, a prestigious three-day event dedicated to frontier innovation and discussion with experts and some of Italy’s best start-ups, until 8 March. The initiative, now in its fourth edition, is organised for the second year in a row by industrial startup accelerator Industrio Ventures, active in Italy and Boston, in collaboration with partners GELLIFY, Agevola Imprese, InnovUp, Lean Evolution and ProM Facility.

Among the protagonists of the three-day event are Davide Ceccarelli, CEO of Technowrapp, delegate for higher education of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti and member of the regional 4.0 and research and innovation coordination of Confindustria Veneto, and Andrea Ferrazzi, general manager of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti.

Both will speak on Thursday, 7 March, during the day entitled “Training is not an option: a 360° comparison“: Ceccarelli will hold, in front of an audience of startuppers and entrepreneurs, the 12 noon Inspirational Speech: 10, in which he will dwell on the (crucial) moment of listening as a phase preceding and preliminary to that of training; Ferrazzi will be one of the speakers at the Industrio Talk between 14:15 and 15:20 “Training is not an option: ideas and paths for 21st century work”, and will illustrate the centrality of training initiatives in the relaunch of the Belluno area.

The day will be opened by Professor Francesco Leali of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia at 10.15 a.m., followed at 10.35 a.m. by Professor Patrizio Bianchi of the University of Ferrara. The startup pitches are scheduled between 10:50 and 12:10.

The Start Up Factory will be moderated by the general manager of Industrio Ventures, Gabriele Paglialonga, who supervised the initiative, and who will give the day’s conclusions; the cultural curatorship is by Gabriele Catania. The Start Up Factory will take place in Hall 21- stand B72 (Digital Factory).
