On Thursday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Aula Magna of Palazzo San Leonardo in Treviso, the kick-off meeting of the Clab (Ca’ Foscari active teaching laboratories) InterESG “ESG and sustainability in the perspective of business internationalization” will be held. It represents the beginning, for 30 students from different study paths, of an important experience in a multidisciplinary environment that reflects the challenges and opportunities of the professional world.

The workshop is realized thanks to the collaboration between Ca’ Foscari University Venice and the Chamber of Commerce Treviso Belluno|Dolomiti, a well-established synergy aimed at the promotion and economic development of our territory, through the involvement of students and local companies.

The workshop has as its central theme sustainability understood as an element of value in the approach of foreign markets, a theme that involves the study and analysis of business realities, deepening the integration of ESG criteria in business and investment decisions.

The workshop – to be held from March 14 to May 3 – thus pays attention to emerging market needs, offering an opportunity to learn about tools and strategies for sustainable business internationalization designed for the challenges of the present and future.

During the event, welcomed by Prof. Stefano Soriani, Director of the Treviso Campus of Ca’ Foscari University Venice and Prof. Elena Semenzin, Rector’s Delegate for Sustainability of Ca’ Foscari University Venice, Franco Conzato Special Attorney of Venicepromex and Luca Gatto, Senior Export Manager of Sace, will speak.

The kick off will be a moment to reflect on the challenges for the future of companies with respect to the theme of sustainability, through a panel discussion in which will participate realities of excellence such as Contarina, IMQeAmbiente and Cribis, moderated by Prof. Monica Billio Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Course in Economics, Finance and Sustainability at Ca’ Foscari University Venice as well as scientific head of CLabInterESG. During this discussion, challenges and opportunities related to sustainability will be discussed and explored.

At the close of the meeting, Alexia Redini Export Manager of Seles SpA, main partner of the workshop, will present the protagonist companies, Azienda Agricola Cecchetto Giorgio, Luisetto Cantieri and Thema Optical, which will launch their own challenge to the students who, during the workshop, will be asked to elaborate an internationalization project with a view to sustainability in order to respond to the challenges launched, proposing innovative ideas and viable strategies for businesses.

The joint activity between the University and the Chamber of Commerce once again contextualizes itself in a fertile fabric in which the entities collaborate with the aim of helping to promote local economic development and strengthen ties between academic institutions and the private sector.
