Authentic Italian Table Chef’s Table Dinner Series – June 2-7, 2021

The IACC’s Authentic Italian Table Chef’s Table Dinner series, a week-long celebration of authentic Italian cuisine, is back for its second edition! From June 2-7, four
top-tier Ospitalità Italiana-certified restaurants–Levante, Lucciola, Morso and Osteria 57–will host select members of the food media and trade and feature four-course
tasting menus designed to highlight a range of regionally-sourced and produced PDO/PGI ingredients from Italy. These exclusive chef’s table dinners offer an authentic
Italian culinary experience in an intimate outdoor setting and are open exclusively to food influencers and members of the trade.

Master Class “Boot” Camp: Friuli-Venezia Giulia – June 23, 2021

Join us on a virtual culinary tour of Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia region during our Master Class “Boot” Camp tasting session. Participants will embark on a journey of
discovery of the region’s PDO and PGI products and will delve into the characteristics and qualities that define these products, as well as the geographic significance
associated with their production and unique characteristics. Taught by renowned food industry experts, the class offers a “deep dive” into PDO/PGI products from
Friuli-Venezia Giulia and features simple recipes that you can recreate at home!

Restaurant Revitalization Fund Application and SBA Program Updates – May 10, 2021

On May 10, SBA Economic Development Specialist Man-Li Lin offered an information session for IACC members on the SBA’s new Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) program
which provides funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. Ms. Lin walked participants through the RRF application process and shared
important updates about other SBA relief programs, including: the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and PPP Forgiveness; the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL
Advance; and the Shuttered Venue Operator Grant (SVOG) Preparation and Application.

Conversation with ICAO Council President – May 11, 2021 (IACC Partner Event)

On May 11, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada invited IACC members to join them for “The Important Roles of ICAO and Aviation in Global Pandemic – Response and
Recovery,” a conversation with Salvatore Sciacchitano, Council President of The International Civil Aviation Organization. Participants learned more about the role of the
global aviation sector in post-pandemic economic recovery.

Master Class “Boot” Camp: Calabria – May 18, 2021

Viewers were transported to the rugged terrain of Italy’s Calabria region during our Master Class “Boot” Camp session highlighting PDO and PGI products from Calabria on
May 18. Together with food educator Francesco Lupo, Silvia Barban, Executive Chef of LaRina Pastificio e Vino, and Jackie Rothong, Chef/Brand Ambassador for Viking, delved
into the characteristics and qualities that define these ingredients and transformed them into two delicious regional dishes,
Polpette di Melanzane
and
Maccheruni al ferretto.

Michele Cianciulli, Co-Founder of Enoclassica Selections, presented a selection of Calabrian wines to pair perfectly with the menu and IACC Executive Director Federico
Tozzi shared his recipe for a
bergamotto spritz
featuring Calabria’s indigenous bergamot citrus fruit, grown exclusively in Reggio at the tip of Italy’s boot. Many thanks to our event sponsors

celebrated the humble yet versatile cuisine of Molise as Jackie Rothong and Michele Figliuolo, Chefs, Culinary Producers and Food Stylists for Middleby Residential,
whipped up two regional dishes featuring PDO/PGI ingredients from Molise:
Fresh Cavatelli with Broccoli Pesto
and
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Cake

IACC member Intesa Sanpaolo will actively support New York’s La Scuola d’Italia “Guglielmo Marconi” international school by financing two scholarships for the 2021-2022
academic year. The scholarship fund will cover all or part of the tuition and fees for the first year of attendance. The scholarship underlines Intesa Sanpaolo’s support

Special Update from Greenberg Traurug – Importers Should File Section 301 List 4A Actions for Duty Refunds

U.S. importers of products manufactured in China and subject to Section 301 duties on goods on List 4A should consider filing actions in the Court of International Trade
(CIT) requesting tariff refunds. The List 4A actions follow numerous lawsuits already filed on List 3 alleging the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) overstepped its
authority in promulgating the additional tariffs. List 4A, valued at $116 billion, includes the following product groupings: foodstuffs, footwear, apparel, and
accessories, steel, aluminum and other metals, machinery and parts thereof and consumer products.
