LAB, a company from Treviso specialised in the construction of dioramas with LEGO® bricks, debuts at the Mario Rimoldi Museum of Modern Art in Cortina d’Ampezzo with Una
montagna di mattoncini (A mountain of bricks) and its tribute project to Cortina and the Alpine Skiing World Championships
.

Its doors should have opened at the beginning of December, to welcome children and families who would have enjoyed a touch of spontaneous lightness and fun during the Christmas festivities. This
was not the case, but finally today – Monday 1st February – the opening of the exhibition A mountain of bricks in Cortina curated by Wilmer Archiutti, co-produced and organised by
Giuliamaria and Gianmatteo Dotto Pagnossin is official.

LAB Literally Addicted to Bricks, with its private collection of LEGO® bricks catalogued as one of the largest in Europe, is exhibiting in this exhibition some of its projects, including an
enormous mountain of almost 2 metres in height that is making its first public debut.

The exhibition, which will remain at the Museo d’Arte Moderna Mario Rimoldi until 5th April 2021, includes a number of LEGO® dioramas designed and produced by the Treviso-based
company that specialises in creating settings made entirely of bricks. The topics are varied: from the pirates’ naval battle to the Formula 1 car track, the enchanted castle and the Christmas
village. What stands out immediately, however, is the main diorama, which represents a mountain about 2 metres high made entirely of LEGO®.

A tribute to Cortina, but not only. With this project, LAB wanted to launch important and educational messages: the respect for the environment, the importance of living in a
clean environment
and all the benefits that come from a correct human behaviour towards the nature around us.

With thousands of bricks, the mountain depicts the classic scenes and settings found in settings such as Cortina. There are those who practise sport, those who take long walks, those who devote
themselves to their passions such as painting and art and those who, instead, work and produce thanks to the energy derived from nature. Moreover, for the first time in LAB’s projects (born last
2014, the company LAB srl coordinated by the events agency 2GM srl has exhibited in over 20 cities all over Italy, in the most prestigious museum venues) the diorama also develops in the
“underground”. Below the mountain landscape, in fact, there is an exciting and colourful coral reef populated by animals and characters from the most famous cartoons such as the Little Mermaid
and Batman, to name but a few.

An exhibition suitable for everyone, children but also adults who, in the different characters that inhabit the dioramas, will be able to find familiar faces from past decades and from their
youth.
