Treviso, 30th October 2021. The Product Labelling and Safety Desk of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti, in collaboration with the Chemical Laboratory of the Chamber
of Commerce of Turin and Dintec – Consortium for Technological Innovation, is organising free webinars on the labelling of non-food products.
The free webinar “Labelling in the fashion sector: safety to sell well” – regulatory obligations and customs aspects – will be held on Monday 22 November.
The webinar aims to provide economic operators (manufacturers, importers and distributors) in the fashion supply chain with clear information on labelling and consumer information obligations at
the point of sale and online, as well as the correct use of the indication of origin of a product, illustrating what is provided for by European and national legislation on the subject.
The event is part of the services offered by the Product Labelling and Safety Desk of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti through the participation in the National Portal Product
Labelling and Safety – link:

In order to help companies to correctly interpret the regulations and to enter new markets, the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti has signed an agreement with the Chemical and
Commodity Laboratory of Turin, to activate the first orientation Desk on labelling and food safety, as well as on non-food products.
This is a technical information service, completely free of charge, aimed at companies with registered offices in the provinces of Treviso and belluno.
Experts from the Chemical Laboratory are at the disposal of companies to answer questions concerning the labelling and safety of food products, as well as questions relating to the labelling and
correct information on consumer products (cosmetics; textiles, clothing, footwear, leather goods; small and large household appliances, lamps; toys, electrical products, products subject to CE
marking).
To access the service it is necessary to register on the Labelling Portal; the company must be duly registered, at the date of submission of the question, in the Register of Companies of the
Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti and have its registered office in the province of Treviso or in the province of Belluno; be active; be in order with the payment of the annual fee
and not be subject to bankruptcy or other insolvency procedures (

Food labels, which are the subject of intense regulatory activity aimed at making them increasingly transparent and reliable, are increasingly important tools for businesses, which are also
interested in entering international markets, and also for consumers.
The activities of the Product Labelling and Safety Desk aim, therefore, to support food and non-food companies in order to provide them with initial information on issues related to labelling,
product safety and international trade.
