After nine intense days, attended so far by a very interested public, Arredamont 2023 closes tomorrow. The 45th edition of the national exhibition of furnishing in the mountains, associated with Arte in Fiera Dolomiti, offered in-depth moments for companies, meetings, specific focuses and high quality exhibits.
On Sunday 5 November at 11 a.m. the last of the focuses, with a conference on women’s employment in the craft industry organised by Appia Cna. Then, at 12.30 p.m. in the Meeting Area, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vajont and the 20th anniversary of the Vajont Foundation, the tribute by artist Giulia De Serio will be presented to Mayor Roberto Padrin. While in the afternoon, at 5 p.m., the prize-giving ceremony of the Arte Fiera Dolomiti competition.
This year Arte in Fiera has blown out its first 18 candles and confirmed itself as a reference point in the Italian art scene for art galleries, enthusiasts and collectors. New for 2023 was the Viale dell’Arte (Art Avenue), which accompanied visitors among the stands, making the exhibitors’ commercial proposals dialogue with the artistic works on display.
On Saturday 4 November, is the day of Serie Unica, at Arredamont. The collective of Veneto artisans who have joined forces to create design products will officially present the project at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, combining art and furniture in a unique combination.
Serie Unica is a collection of handcrafted design objects dedicated to the nine Unesco sites in Veneto and created by as many Veneto craftspeople. These are the artisan Ernesto Contessa, whose upholstery was inspired by Venice and its lagoon; Eva Trentin, who produces natural printing and thought of the city of Verona; Cristina Busnelli with her weaving looked at the Venetian defence works between the 16th and 17th centuries; Ks Design drew inspiration from the Palladian villas; Lou ArteCeramica dedicated its product to the Dolomites (included in the Unesco heritage since 2009); Carteria ai Frari produces paper works and was inspired by the Prosecco hills; Ispace dei Fratelli Damian (metalworking) looked to the botanical garden of Padua, one of the oldest in the world; Torresan Travertino Italian Creations with its travertine work thought of the primitive pile-dwelling sites in the Alps; finally, Legnomart (carpentry) was guided by the fresco cycles of Padua, the latest addition to the Unesco list of the Veneto region. All these works, which flow from pure craftsmanship into art, will be presented tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm, curated by Federica Preto, who is the founder and curator of Serie Unica.
He explains the project as follows: Territorial excellence meets Know-How to tell its story with the codes of design. The object becomes pure narration and instrument of knowledge, going beyond the meaning of design object to become the representation of a territory.
Saturday opens with a conference on artificial intelligence (at 10.30 a.m. at the Congress Centre) organised by Appia Cna, dedicated to artisan companies.
Also organised by Appia, in the afternoon (at 3pm) the topic of social communication for small and medium-sized enterprises will be addressed. Guest of honour influencer Massimo Barco, who will be at the stand all day.
At 11.30 am, in the spaces of Arte in Fiera, there will be the presentation of Mario De Biasi’s exhibition, with shots by the famous photographer from Belluno, one of the most important photoreporters of the second half of the 20th century, famous for his reportages on the Hungarian uprising, and for his portraits of Marlene Dietrich, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren. Arte in Fiera has dedicated an exhibition to De Biasi on the centenary of his birth, which falls this year.
