Councillors Sergio Emidio Bini for Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Federico Caner for Veneto Region launch the rich programme of joint initiatives between the two regions, aimed
at supporting the international growth processes of local companies. The Autonomous Province of Trento is ready to join the project.
The “North-Eastern System for Internationalisation” project was presented at the Digital Room of Padua Fair Centre. Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto Regions are the promoters of a wide-ranging
joint programme of activities to support the internationalisation of Triveneto companies, financed by the two regions in equal measure for a total of 300,000 euros by 2021.
The mission of the Project, which has a strong value of sharing and cooperation between the two Regions, was presented by Sergio Emidio Bini, Regional Councillor for Productive Activities
and Tourism of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Federico Caner, Councillor for EU Funds – Tourism – Agriculture – Foreign Trade of Veneto Region. During the meeting,
Achille Spinelli, Councillor for Economic Development, Research and Labour of the Autonomous Province of Trento, also intervened, anticipating the imminent accession of Trentino to the
North-Eastern System for internationalisation.
For the Councillor for Productive Activities of Friuli Venezia Giulia Sergio Bini, the project has a strong institutional value, as it demonstrates the ability of the two regions to work as
a “team”; moreover, with the announced adhesion of the Province of Trento, the Northeast system will be completed, giving a concrete signal of proximity to companies in the
post-pandemic recovery.
The involvement of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Italy represents a strategic choice for the Region: Serbia is not only a friendly country, linked to us by deep historical and cultural
ties, but it is also a key country for the economic development of the entire Adriatic-Danubian area in which Italy and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region are committed to promote the political and
economic revival. Our commitment is to ensure that the Sistema Nordest Project for internationalisation becomes a permanent point of reference for institutions, trade associations and companies,
and can also be a reference model for the whole country, – Bini concluded.
Today Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, – says Councillor Federico Caner, – present themselves as a united and cohesive reality to face the challenges of the future together and to
reaffirm that ‘Triveneto’, as well as a geographical area, is increasingly an integrated economic area. As of today, the collaboration also extends to the Autonomous Province of Trento, thus
strengthening the synergy between the three entities involved. I would like to ask the project’s international partners to take an active role in proposing similar experiences in Serbia and
Croatia.
The aim of the project is to bring together companies from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Trentino with Serbian and Croatian entrepreneurs for an exchange over a wider range from the Adriatic
to the Danube and beyond. For a long time the North-East has been perceived as a ‘unicum’, also from an economic point of view, but it is only in the last few years that the three countries have
decided to follow a common development path, where possible. There is a need, – Caner concluded, – for the institutions to continue to play their part, providing a coherent regulatory
framework and providing assistance to those companies that feel part of this common path. Veneto Region will not fail to play its part and support entrepreneurial requests to the best of its
ability.
Concerning the participation of the Autonomous Province of Trento in the North-Eastern System, Councillor Achille Spinelli said: – The pandemic crisis has highlighted the importance of
innovating the forms of support for companies intending to project themselves onto international markets and of raising not only the quality of programming but also the critical mass of actions to
be implemented. In this perspective, strengthening cooperation links between regional systems is of fundamental importance in order to join the new international networks in which innovation and
development are spread internationally. Trentino is pleased to be able to join this strategic alliance, which will bring mutual benefits and allow the three regions to maximise their commitment to
supporting the internationalisation of companies, – concludes Councillor Spinelli.
A detailed presentation of the project was given by Alessandro Minon, President of Finest S.p.A., the institutional body which has been assigned the role of director within the Agreement,
also in its capacity as manager of the Friuli Venezia Giulia internationalisation desk, Sprint FVG: – The theme of digitalisation and effective market monitoring, even at a distance, is the fil
rouge of most of the initiatives planned for 2021. One of them is that we will offer 26 companies in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto the opportunity to carry out a digital communication project,
in Italian and English: a powerful tool for enhancing the value of one’s own business with suppliers, customers and stakeholders in Italy and abroad, even from a distance, a practice that will
most likely be consolidated for the future beyond Covid, – says Alessandro Minon.
For the President of Unioncamere Veneto Mario Pozza, – It is a source of satisfaction for the chamber system of the Northeast to take part in an initiative that sees shared projects
and synergies of the territories in favour of Triveneto companies, which together represent the beating heart of Italian exports and internationalisation. The Chambers of Commerce of
Triveneto area recently got together to renew the mutual synergic dialogue and Sistema Nordest project for internationalisation is an effective example of collaboration, – concludes
Pozza.
Among other initiatives in the field, companies will be able to participate in a professional training programme to develop exports and internationalisation in a digitally enhanced world, with
particular attention to cyber security and the logistics of goods and people. Internationalisation towards the Balkan area is a key element in the design of the “North-Eastern System”, also with
a view to shortening supply chains following the pandemic crisis. The project relies on the expertise of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Italy – represented by Director Milan
Vranic – and the Croatian Chamber of Crafts – Chamber of Crafts of the Istrian Region – in the person of President Robert Momić.
The subjects involved in the project guarantee a wide impact on the territory of the North-Eastern System: in addition to the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Veneto Region, Finest S.p.A., Sprint
FVG, Unioncamere Veneto, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Italy and the Croatian Chamber of Crafts – Chamber of Crafts of the Istrian Region, the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and
Belluno and Venicepromex also participate.
The working group is destined to expand, with the entry of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the definition of new joint projects: this will complete the North-Eastern System for
internationalisation, which demonstrates in the field the will, including political will, to ensure that companies make the maximum effort to support their development and competitiveness in the
markets, with spin-offs in terms of wealth and know-how for the entire territory represented by the Project.
