Friday 26th February 2021.
Space, so far, so near! This is the title of the
first public meeting of 2021 scheduled for
Saturday, February 27, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, live streaming from the channel
youtube.com/liceoduca, open to students, teachers, citizens, organized by
Associazione Amici del Duca in order to
propose to young people and the city conversations about the future and opportunities for debate. The reflection will bring stimuli and curiosity on a theme that is part of the collective
imagination but on which young people reflect only if they dream of being an astronaut or if they have particular scientific vocations. Actually, the aim of the meeting is to talk about “space”
not as a fascinating elitist club to which few countries devote large investments to develop technology and bring men, satellites and objects in orbit, but to understand how and in what way the
innovations derived from advanced technologies or big data impact on everyday life and our future.
The new frontier – said Anil Dave, contacted for the meeting – is to draw the scenario of the future where the new generations will have to face global challenges and be open to
contamination between different technological and scientific sectors -. Collaboration and social development, as well as environment and sustainability, will certainly be the new paradigms
with which today’s digital natives will work, but they will necessarily focus on technology transfer and innovations as engines of an increasingly inclusive development, a pillar of the new
Space Economy.
Anil Dave, ICT manager by training, has done research for decades in various fields (from agribusiness to pediatric oncoematology), in the Italian Space Agency he coordinated the team
“Innovation and TT”, dealing with 360 degrees of Space Economy, start-up, patents and incubators. He is currently involved in Open Innovation and coordinates the ASI-OECD team. On Saturday (Feb
27, 10-12 am) he will talk about knowledge and skills needed, offer guidance and dispense visions on innovation that will change our lives and the usefulness of space research with respect to the
development of the economy and changes in society. A taste of SPACE ECONOMY open to everyone, not just students.
Anil Dave will be present in the Aula Magna of the Duca degli Abruzzi institute before the start of the live broadcast and is available for journalists, interviews and insights.
The event is organized by Associazione Amici del Duca, an association of social promotion founded by a group of volunteers to offer opportunities for reflection to young people and the city, it
takes place under the direction of
Alberto Pezzella videomaker and with TrevisoToday media partner. For info:
