Treviso, 4 April 2022 – The Chamber of Commerce has set up a real task force for digitalisation. The decision of the board of directors allocates €615,000 in non-refundable
grants for the digitalisation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises
and, as of 2018, has included the Punto Impresa Digitale office of the Unioncamere national network as a
strategic asset for the digital transition. The aim is to accompany the business system along the difficult path of digital transition. The Veneto Chamber of Commerce’s subsidiary t2i Innovation
and Technology Transfer is also in action.
Our know-how, our ability to create, today, more than ever, must pass, at least at some stage of the production process, through digitalisation – points out the President of Unioncamere
and the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno, Mario Pozza -. This is no longer a choice, but a real strategy to maintain competitiveness in the domestic and foreign
markets. It is an indispensable asset not only for large companies, but also for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
In calling for digitalisation, there is also an aspect that I must highlight, – the President points out – and that is that we are often ‘unconsciously already digital’. This
unawareness can expose us to a certain superficiality in the use of digital programmes, protocols and devices, putting our businesses at risk from cyber attacks. This is a growing phenomenon that
is affecting all businesses, even small ones. Hackers are not interested in data, but in holding data to ransom. That’s why, in parallel with training, so to digital assessment and the application
of payment methods, digital signature, SPID, digital invoicing, digital books, we are carrying out a training of excellence on cybersecurity to protect the knowledge capital and business data, with
courses organized by Pid with Eng. Giorgio Sbaraglia member of the Scientific Committee Clusit, information and Cyber Security advisor.
The Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno has invested and invests significant economic resources: well over 2 million euro from 2018 to 2021 and with the call for
digitalisation 2022 615 thousand euro. Not only calls for tenders, but also national awards with TOP of the PID Mirabilia in which two companies from Treviso distinguished themselves
and TOP of the PIDVeneto which saw a company from Belluno win. We are here, and I invite companies to take part in this important event.
I would like to remind you that besides the Chamber system, there is a multitude of companies and professionals who provide digital services and help the Veneto region to be digital and
competitive in Europe and the world. My thanks go to them.
