Padova 23 September 2021 – It was an opportunity to reflect on UNESCO heritage and its importance for the development of cultural tourism, which can contribute to the economic growth of
local communities. This and much more was the World Tourism Event for World Heritages Sites (Wte), the three-day event held in Padova from 23 to 25 September.
A real opportunity in which Mirabilia Network, the association whose members are Unioncamere Nazionale and 17 Italian Chambers of Commerce that promote the places recognised by Unesco as
World Heritage Sites, took part as a real protagonist.
The World Tourism Exhibition dedicated to World Heritage sites, in the evocative location of the Palazzo della Regione, was a real catalyst for the 60 buyers from Italy and abroad and for the
Italian and international operators taking part in the event. It was also able to give the public a glimpse of a rich and undiscovered tourist and accommodation offer.
During the three days of meetings, with conferences and debates, including scientific ones, culture and UNESCO heritage sites will always be in the spotlight, representing the leitmotif of an
event that aims to enhance the culture and tradition that distinguishes our country.
Mirabilia Network has been the protagonist during the focus Discovering the other beautiful Italy: The network of the Chambers of Commerce that enhances the territories and places recognized
by UNESCO through businesses, scheduled on September 23, at 5 pm, in the Horse area of the Regional Palace.
The President of the Mirabilia Network Association Dr. Angelo Tortorelli, the coordinator of the Association Vito Signati and the President of the Chamber of Commerce Treviso-Belluno –
Dolomites and President of Unioncamere Veneto Mario Pozza took part in the event.
Taking part in the Wte, the World Tourism Fair dedicated to Unesco sites, is a bit like feeling at home, being able to meet and discuss with many other actors involved in the management and
enhancement of the assets included in the World Heritage List – says the President of Mirabilia Association, Angelo Tortorelli -. The event in Padova will not only give us the
opportunity to present the many treasures of our territories to a wide audience and more than 60 international buyers, but also to weave virtuous relationships so that our action of tourist,
cultural and productive enhancement of World Heritage sites can continue to expand under the sign of inclusiveness and sustainability.
Being able to be at the Wte at last, after difficult months marked by the pandemic, is finally a wonderful signal in view of the restart of a sector that can represent the real added value in
terms of economic recovery for our country and the whole world.
The Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti participates in Mirabilia Network, identifying it as a strategic national chamber organisation for the promotion of tourism and
culture – underlines the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti Mario Pozza -. We participated in the WTE to present this important asset for Italian
tourism. In a perspective of corporate social responsibility, we take care of the UNESCO sites, in the locations of competence. We can take on this important role thanks to the strategic projects
of territorial promotion and digital transaction that the government has given to the Chambers of Commerce.
The desire is to network and make these sites accessible to an increasingly demanding experiential tourism. Today’s tourist, in fact, wants to experience the territories by tasting the
typical products and buying the products of the localities, discovering the art and monuments of the sites that are less known than the traditional tourist destinations.
The Chamber of Commerce and the Veneto system also identify Mirabilia as an important strategic project for attracting foreign investment and appealing to the human capital that in
Veneto finds a high quality of life and world-famous entrepreneurial excellence.
