Treviso, 16 September 2021. President Mario Pozza received General Commander Antonio Paparella of the Comando Interregionale Carabinieri Vittorio Veneto with jurisdiction over the
regions of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige and Emila Romagna. The meeting was also attended by the Commander of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command Colonel Gianfilippo
Magro and the Deputy Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti Francesco Rossato.
Honoured by this prestigious visit, during the very cordial conversation the current economic situation was examined, – informed President Pozza, – in an inter-regional vision on
those territories where the chamber system called PILOVER is also represented (Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna).
A dialogue, therefore, between institutions aimed at defending good business practices and unhesitatingly blocking those who want to put their hands on malfeasance in these lands, Italy’s
economic locomotive.
The events of recent days, most recently the mafia infiltration in Bibione, have been the subject of our attention and sharing.
We discussed the critical aspects of the pandemic crisis and the possible strategic moves to be made to instil confidence, give young people entrepreneurial prospects and attract foreign
investment, in the knowledge that the fundamentals of our economy are healthy and recovering, and that businesses are the engine that drives territories to regain prosperity.
Emphasis was also placed on how the dialogue between institutions and law enforcement agencies will be further strengthened in view of the numerous initiatives that will take place in the short
and medium term in the territories under our jurisdiction, such as the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, in which we will also be in dialogue with Trentino Alto Adige in the
organisation of the games.
I am certain, – concluded President Pozza, – that this visit is the beginning of a dialogue capable of bringing added value and a shared far-sighted vision, which our territories
really need.
