Rocca Pietore, 03 January 2023 – A show for everyone – young and old – in a unique setting: the Befana will arrive in Marmolada by lowering herself down from the cable car, thanks to the
support of the men of the Pettorina Valley Mountain Rescue Service.
The event will take place on Thursday 5 January in the square at Malga Ciapela; it will begin at 5pm with musical entertainment by DJ Gigi & Fra, while at 6pm all eyes will be on
her, the Befana, who will bring gifts and sweets to the good children. The “descent” of the old lady will take place along the first section of the cable car, amidst lights and suggestions.
The entire Alto Agordino area is mobilised in view of the festive afternoon: the Marmolada Ski School, for example, will organise a mini torchlight procession with its pupils, while the alpini
will offer good mulled wine. The bar at the Malga Ciapela cable car will also remain open.
“It is a now traditional event – suspended because of the Covid – that returns with great participation.” explains Marmolada srl. “It is a way to get together, inhabitants,
tourists and admirers of our mountain”.
The event – sponsored by the municipality of Rocca Pietore – is organised by the Pettorina Valley Mountain Rescue Service and Marmolada Srl with the collaboration of CT Marmolada, Marmolada Ski
School, Rocca Alpine Group and La Compagnia del Ciaudrin.
