Padua, 4th June – Waiting to return live with the summer season, the Teatro Verdi in Padua from 11th to 25th June opens its foyer to the public to host the Sixty & Twelve
Rosenthal exhibition, a traveling show dedicated to celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Studio-line brand.
The exhibition, organized in Padua by the Teatro Stabile del Veneto in collaboration with Galleria Daniele arte&design in Piazzetta San Nicolò, presents the 60 vases of the limited edition
Sixty & Twelve, offered in 12 exclusive colors, bearing the signature of the most famous international names belonging to the history and the present of design. To name a few, there will be
Jasper Morrison, Tapio Wirkkala, Patricia Urquiola, Timo Sarpaneva, BIG, La Fontaine up to the star of contemporary design Sebastian Herkner who has designed the latest anniversary
vase of the collection “Hop”. An extremely curious object because of its asymmetrical rings, layered to recall the Michelin Man or the sculptures of Tony Cragg. As he himself declares.
A tribute to retrace not only the history, but also the highly innovative character of a brand that, after 60 years, is more vital and contemporary than ever, confirming its vocation to anticipate
and interpret the trends of contemporary design. Over the years, more than 150 artists and designers have contributed to translating the brand’s concept of innovative, sophisticated and functional
design into unique and excellent collections, transforming Rosenthal Studio-Line and its porcelain into a mirror of artistic currents from different eras.
A travelling exhibition in the Italian cities and provinces – said Giovanni Coppo sales & marketing director of Sambonet Paderno Industrie S.p.A, a company of the Arcturus group that
acquired Rosenthal in 2009 – thanks to which it is possible to retrace 60 years of design history. 60 vases that have the power to tell the evolution of taste and trends in the industry.
The theater is a place that creates and hosts culture in all its forms – said Giampiero Beltotto, president of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto -. I am happy that in anticipation of
the start of the summer season the theater returns to open its doors to the city and to welcome the public, in compliance with all safety regulations, hosting a prestigious exhibition like this
dedicated to 60 years of the brand Rosenthal Studio-Line and organized together with Galleria Daniele in Piazzetta San Nicolò.
The exhibition is open to the public from June 11 to 25, from Tuesday to Saturday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with free admission.
