“Let’s act”: starting again from young people to make the country grow. The 2021 assembly of young entrepreneurs of Assindustria Venetocentro.
Padova-Treviso – 28 September, 2021 – Confidence in the recovery (+6% GDP 2021 expected in Veneto), thanks to individual skills but also to the added value of teamwork, both
generational and professional. Commitment, observation, concrete proposals and objectives for the future, especially for the younger generations, especially those who are left behind (in Veneto
158 thousand young people between 15 and 34 years are neither employed nor engaged in education). And to change a context which does not offer adequate conditions of enhancement and project support
to young people and is therefore unattractive. And the claim (and the right) not to be left last in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP), to invest in the new generations – in particular
in training, in school-to-work transition tools – to be able to take responsibility for changing towards the new development paradigm. What Europe is asking of us in order to make the most of the
resources of the Next Generation Eu.
These are the topics that will be the focus of the 2021 General Assembly of the Young Entrepreneurs of Assindustria Venetocentro, entitled AGIAMO. La responsabilità di tracciare una via,
(AGIAMO. The responsibility of charting a course), which will be held on Friday 1 October, in person and via live streaming, starting at 5pm, at Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta (Via
Luigi Camerini, 1 – Pd), with the contribution of Eurointerim and UniCredit.
The event will be opened by Alice Pretto, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group, and Leopoldo Destro, President of Assindustria Venetocentro. This will be followed by Roberto
Verganti (Vision: Imagining and building a world that makes more sense), Professor of leadership and innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics, Harvard Business School lecturer and
co-founder of Leadin’Lab, the laboratory for LEADership, design and innovation at Politecnico di Milano, on the Advisory Board of the European Commission’s European Innovation Council.
Then the conversation with innovative entrepreneurs, Cristina Nonino, Managing Director and Master distiller of the family company, Nonino Distillatori, awarded Best Distillery in the
World 2019 and Cristian Fracassi, the 38 year old engineer and CEO of Isinnova who transformed a snorkeling mask into an anti Covid respirator to save lives, appointed Knight of the Republic
by President Mattarella. Journalist Silvia Bernardi will conduct the event. The conclusions will be drawn by President Alice Pretto and Riccardo Di Stefano, President of
Giovani Imprenditori Confindustria (in streaming).
The NRP is a unique opportunity to restart, – says Alice Pretto, President of Giovani Imprenditori Assindustria Venetocentro, – but if we do not free the impetus that young people
can give, it would be a false start. If EU funds are intended for investments in digitalisation and a sustainable economy, we need adequate human capital. We need young people, trained, updated,
born and raised in the Europe of Erasmus.
If we really want to lay the foundations of a new normal after the pandemic, we must take the point of view of the new generations in reading the changing reality and what works, in improving it
by creating new opportunities. With the Assembly we will start a path and a challenge to help trace a path to the new paradigm in our territory too: dynamic and competitive companies, a context
that is responsive to change, favourable to investment and attractive to support them.
