Veneto Region Education Councillor Elena Donazzan spoke yesterday in the Foresteria Hall of Villa Valmarana ai Nani for the awards ceremony of the 3rd AGESC Veneto Regional Art Competition organized by the Veneto Region Catholic Schools Parents Association, conceived by Silvio Corso former president and now vice-president AGESC Veneto with the support and backing of the Veneto Region.
I cherish Catholic Schools that represent a wealth to be guarded, defended and enhanced with an educational alliance. The theme chosen for this third edition of the competition, “relationships,” is particularly significant because it is through relationships that a better world can be built. It is on relationships of brotherhood, solidarity, friendship, love, based on respect for the other that the educating community is founded – the words of Councillor Donazzan.
Relationships – Donazzan added – that the students of the 23 primary and secondary schools participating in the competition have consolidated by working in groups, honing their relational and expressive skills and bringing out their artistic talents. The contest, which next year will have “respect” as its theme, is supported by the Veneto Region because it brings out the value of school as a place of social inclusion, as a place of encounter and growth.
Among elementary school, first place went to Istituto Provolo of Verona, second place to Istituto Santa Croce of Padua, third place to Istituto Brandolini-Rota of Oderzo.
Among secondary schools, first place went to the Perucci Institute of Marzana, second place to the Poloni School of Vicenza, and third place to the Sardagna Institute of Castello di Godego.
Among secondary schools, first place went to Scuole Rogazionisti of Padua, second place to Guardini Institute of Verona.
