Wednesday 21st April – While for the world of entertainment the hope of a return to live performances becomes more and more concrete, the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, which faces the
next three years with the new artistic direction of Giorgio Ferrara, confirms its vocation to serve the territory more and more. The new collaboration between the Stabile del
Veneto and Assindustria Venetocentro is also in this direction: yesterday evening the General Council of the association of entrepreneurs of Padua and Treviso resolved in favour of the entry of
the same association in the corporate structure of the Theatre as a supporting partner for the next three years with a total contribution of 150 thousand Euros.
After the entry last July of the Chambers of Commerce of Padua, Treviso-Belluno and Venice-Rovigo, the next entry of Assindustria Venetocentro is a further confirmation of the recognition by the
commercial and industrial fabric of the territory of the value that culture represents as a driver for society and the economy. Having been approved by the Board of Directors of Assindustria
Venetocentro, the closing of the transaction now awaits the imminent approval of the shareholders’ meeting of the Teatro Stabile, already composed of the Veneto Region, the Municipalities of
Venice, Padua and Treviso, the Province of Padua and the three Chambers of Commerce.
Culture is one of the driving forces of the economy. It is so not only because of what it represents in terms of employment and turnover, but also because it is a factor that stimulates the
competitiveness and quality that have always been recognized in the production fabric of our Region – says the President of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia -. In Assindustria
Venetocentro’s entry as a supporting partner of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, I see a winning project that confirms this link. But I can’t help but look at this participation also through the
eyes of those who have been fighting for over a year against the devastating effects of the pandemic. I’ve repeated it and I repeat it constantly: we will get out of this for sure, but we must
be united towards concrete goals. With this operation, the business world of Padua and Treviso and Teatro Stabile become the protagonists of a strategy aimed at the recovery for which we are all
working.
Assindustria Venetocentro’s entry as a supporting partner of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto represents a direct commitment of all associated entrepreneurs to one of the most important cultural
institutions in our region – says Leopoldo Destro, president of Assindustria Venetocentro – We consider it necessary at this stage to strengthen the link between business and
culture. It is an active support, to overcome first of all the heavy crisis caused by the limits imposed by the pandemic emergency, but also to look ahead. Particularly in supporting some of the
programmatic lines of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto: the training of artistic and technical professionals in the performing arts; digitalization, which has already proved its worth in this
period; and internationalization. An initiative that enhances the program of the Presidency that I started in these months, in particular the value of culture, a fundamental heritage for our
territory. I would like to underline another aspect, which is important for us.
The Teatro Stabile is a virtuous example of ‘metropolitan’ collaboration between Padua, Venice and Treviso, which is also consistent with the project that, as entrepreneurial
representatives, led us to set up Assindustria Venetocentro Imprenditori Padova Treviso. A metropolitan territory of Veneto that has a strong identity, the expression of a centuries-old tradition
of absolute value, that projects itself into a solid economy of culture, also to attract new resources, professionalism and young skills.
The forthcoming entry of Assindustria Venetocentro in the family of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto comes as a propulsive push for the restart of the culture and live show sector – comments
Giampiero Beltotto, president of the Stabile del Veneto -. After the entry of the Chambers of Commerce, the adhesion of Assindustria puts us more and more at the service of the
territory. Under the artistic guidance of Maestro Giorgio Ferrara, our theater faces the next three years with the aim of returning to the Veneto region the role of protagonist in the
cultural policies of the country, also as an authoritative interlocutor in international dynamics. In this perspective, the relationship with the business world on the one hand represents new
lifeblood to implement the quality of our productions, and on the other is a recognition of the theater as a tool to tell in Italy and abroad the Veneto region and its companies.
