Venice – Marghera, 24 January2023
The President of Unioncamere of Veneto Mario Pozza and the Director of the internationalisation agency Venicepromex Franco Conzato today visited the production site of Dal Ben S.p.A.
in San Stino di Livenza (VE)
, a leading mechanical engineering company with specific expertise in the construction of complex high-tech machinery. The agenda of the meeting with founder
Gabriele Dal Ben
and the company’s management staff addressed some strategic issues of doing business, such as corporate welfare, professional training and gender equality in the
company.
“The institutional visit was an important opportunity to experience first-hand a venetian excellence that is also recognised internationally and has won awards in various fields,”
commented Unioncamere of Veneto President Mario Pozza. “I am really happy to have met today such an important and innovative reality of the Veneto industrial system, which confirms the
goodness of a model capable of making a virtuous synthesis between production efficiency projected at an international level, the promotion of a corporate welfare recently awarded at a national
level, and the enhancement of culture and social issues within the community”.
“I am very grateful to President Pozza and General Director Conzato for their visit today to our company’s offices and production units,” Gabriele Dal Ben commented with
satisfaction, “also because I perceived their great institutional and human attention and sensitivity towards the history of entrepreneurship in Veneto, and their full willingness to put in
place valuable synergies and vital and dynamic collaborations in terms of internationalisation”.
At a time when the “made in Veneto” production system is confirming its resilience and expansion even in the current difficult international economic climate, today’s visit reaffirms the
attention of the region’s chamber system to the protagonists of the business world and the excellent results of networking among the main players of this vital sector.

DAL BEN SPA

Present since 1987 in the field of mechanics, Dal Ben S.p.a. – 22 million turnover in 2022, forecast to reach 30 million in 2023 and 120 employees – has developed over the years a specific
expertise in the construction of complex high-tech machinery
on specific customer request: its core business is focused on the steel and hydroelectric sectors and, in recent years, on the
innovative scientific research sector.
The company, founded in Ceggia and consolidated in the industrial area of San Stino di Livenza, is recognised and esteemed not only in Italy, but also abroad, having made a precise choice of
internationalisation at an early stage and exporting its products to a large part of the world: America, the Middle East, part of Asia, as well as Europe in general. September 2019 saw the
inauguration of the new headquarters in Via Di Vittorio in San Stino di Livenza, combined with a modern and capacious factory dedicated to the assembly of complete machinery. To date, the
company operates on a covered area of 22,000 square metres consisting of six plants, divided by production cycle.
The latest facility in this series, dedicated to carpentry, was inaugurated in 2020. All the machinery built meets specific, high quality standards: the numerous certifications obtained over
the years, a symbol of quality, reliability and authentic Made in Italy, are in fact among the company’s greatest strengths.
On 7 February 2022, Dal Ben spa celebrated its thirty-fifth birthday, generously thanking all its employees.
CORPORATE WELFARE

President Pozza’s visit to Dal Ben S.p.A. comes at a particularly happy moment for the Sanstino company, a leader in the field of corporate welfare in the Veneto and Italy: in recent weeks
founder Gabriele Dal Ben was awarded the SME EnterPRIZE by Giancarlo Fancel, Country Manager & Ceo Generali Italia during an official ceremony at the Palazzo della Cancelleria, in the presence
of the Labour and Social Policies Minister Marina Elvira Calderone
. Dal Ben S.p.A, which is one of only three companies selected from the Province of Venice and among the 16 total in the
Veneto region, is among the 1.8% of participants that have obtained the maximum 5W rating, which indicates the oversight and innovation in all 10 welfare areas. For the founder and general
manager Gabriele Dal Ben, the valorisation of personnel has always been a fundamental and central aspect, at the top of the priorities in order to achieve effective and winning teamwork, and for
this reason the corporate welfare tool, which has already been in place for a few years, is constantly being enhanced. “I firmly believe that the goals we have achieved are the fruit and the
excellent result of the commitment, determination and spirit of belonging to the company of all those who work there on a daily basis,” confirms Dal Ben, who emphasises: “The true value of
productive realities like ours are the people, who must be motivated, accompanied and supported in every way so that they can live well individually and as a family and thus contribute to the
best of the company’s activities, each in his or her own role”.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Dal Ben Spa has delivered a CNC machining centre and machining simulation software to the “Scarpa – Mattei” Institute in San Stino di Livenza. The generous donation was part of the
creation of the new mechanics laboratory at the Scarpa Mattei Institute, a valuable reality in the area for the local production system in terms of training specialised personnel. Specifically,
Dal Ben S.p.A. donated a numerical control work centre that allows the production of mechanical parts of considerable complexity, also thanks to the interface with CAD-CAM technology, all with
the possibility of being programmed via a simulator available for each individual student. It should be emphasised that the initiative is part of an articulated and substantial programme of
guidance and consultancy activities that Dal Ben spa has been implementing for years in favour of young people and schools for local industry.
GENDER EQUALITY
Added to this is Dal Ben’s recognition as the first company in Veneto certified on gender equality, among the first in Italy. In recent days, the owner himself shared the company’s
testimony at the conference “Gender Equality Certification and Inclusion in the Workplace”, held at H-Farm, an innovation platform in Roncade (Treviso).
