Rome 02 August 2022 – More than 43 thousand entrepreneurs and their collaborators trained free of charge; one thousand seminars throughout Italy, organised by the more than 250 digitisers of
the Digital Business Points specially prepared to carry out this role with 60 hours of training divided into 15 modules.
These are the numbers of the 2020-2022 edition of Eccellenze in digitale, the Unioncamere project financed by Google.org that aims to help Italian businesses increase the digital
skills of their workers.
The initiative, which was launched back in 2014, is an integral part of the intense activity that Unioncamere and the Chambers of Commerce are conducting for the digital training of
businesses and workers, together with and in coordination with the activities of the Digital Enterprise Points (Pid), spread throughout all the Chambers of Commerce and part of the Industria 4.0
institutional network, and, as far as young people are concerned, the Crescere in digitale project, financed with resources managed by ANPAL and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies within
the PON IOG – Youth Guarantee.
The latest edition of Eccellenze in digitale benefited from a 1 million euro grant from Google.org and was curated by the Digital Enterprise Points of the Chambers of Commerce, which managed
to adapt the training offer – even in the most difficult months of the pandemic – to the dynamics and peculiarities of the territory.
The numbers of the 2020-2022 edition of Eccellenze in digitale confirm the goodness of this initiative, which has the merit of combining Google’s expertise on the digital front with the
organisational and training capacity of the Chamber system and its capillary presence in the territories – emphasises the Secretary General of Unioncamere, Giuseppe Tripoli. It is
a winning combination that has been going on for eight years now and will continue with the new programme that we are finalising in these weeks.
We are enthusiastic about the results achieved by Eccellenze in digitale over the last two years. The project has achieved the joint goal of Google and Unioncamere of accompanying entrepreneurs
and workers in small and medium-sized Italian businesses in their economic recovery and supporting part of the digital transformation that the country needs – says Gianna Francescutti,
Program Manager of Google.org.(…)
