There will be four days from 28 to 31 May dedicated to the promotion of the territory in respect of sustainability, as an essential element that every action must have, for the promotion
and valorisation in Italy and abroad of the economic, artistic, culinary and productive heritage.
The event’s leader is the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti, which is a member of the European network of Unesco Mirabilia sites, with no less than three Unesco sites in
its territory: The Dolomites, the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano – Valdobbiadene, and the three Venetian villas: Villa di Maser, Villa Emo, and Villa Zeno.
200 national delegates and international representatives, UNESCO directors and representatives of the European Commission will arrive in Treviso. One of the objectives is to
study a memorandum on sustainability for the development and internationalisation of territories.
The title of the event is deliberately provocative because the approach is assertive and wants to probe every aspect, without taking anything for granted, evaluating every detail in the light
also of the great changes that have taken place since the pandemic and that may require different and new visions on sustainability to improve competitive advantage and enhance the approach to
internationalisation.
The desire is also to identify the role that Mirabilia, the European network of UNESCO sites of the Chamber of Commerce system, must play to promote even the lesser known areas of
Italy, thus responding to an experiential tourism of research and discovery of places and products, yet to be discovered because off the usual tourist routes.
Veneto therefore welcomes Mirabilia with this vision, also looking at the internationalisation of its companies that, born in such a beautiful territory and so favourable to the
transformation of products into excellence, can be more appreciated and attractive to foreign investors.
We want to present the Veneto business system in the round, – emphasises the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti Mario Pozza, – but we also want to go
further, not only representing the image of production sites, but also the wonderful locations that inspire production and innovation.
I strongly wanted this big event here. We have created a special version of Mirabilia. I anticipate that B2Bs will be organised in the November edition of Mirabilia in Genoa.
We are here to talk to all national and international stakeholders to say what we want in order to raise awareness of the importance of our UNESCO territories. The beauty of the
UNESCO territories is identified as the common thread to represent the whole of Italy. I do not deny that it is a great challenge. We look to the economy, to the development of
territories, representing beauty in the industriousness of our companies, with the excellence of production, with culinary traditions, with typical products, but also with the districts, with
the supply chains, with the network of institutions, with the innovation of the great research poles and universities. In this new vision, we accompany companies to present themselves as a
broadcast full of many excellences and many aspects that are sought after by the markets, by the needs of new niches of customers and consumers. We want to give a new vision to the elements of
the supply chain, not only expressed by those who produce and those who supply, but also incorporating the territory, the Unesco sites, re-proposing a new concept in the area of
sustainability.
We will work with great experts, reasoning together, on these aspects, putting man with his environment and man’s action in respect of his environment at the centre to achieve great
things.
Which ones? Giving confidence, stimulating new ideas, generating attractiveness for national and international human resources.
We are realising how important human capital is. If we do not invest in young people, there will be no future. For this reason, symbolically, the work of the delegations will be handed over
to a special delegation of young people that we will discover on 31 May in Castelbrando.
