This is the eDesign Festival’s tribute to all the visitors who could not access the exhibition due to the early closure of exhibitions and museums. The exhibition, curated by Paola Bellin,
Andrea Biban, Pierangelo Ranieri and Luciano Setten, explores the association between Leopoldo Metlicovitz and Hausbrandt through the display of a series of original sketches
for the creation of a backdrop and a sign for Casa Hausbrandt.
Within the virtual tour, created by UBIS Design Network and available directly at the link
(or on the Facebook page of eDesign Festival), it will be possible to view in detail the three rooms that trace the evolution of the brand over time, from 1892 to 2019, with the presence of other
advertising posters created by Metlicovitz for Hausbrandt, accompanied by those of Luciano Biban, a leading figure in Friulian graphics, who in the sixties created the original ‘Moka’
logo, a synthesis of advertising and art. The exhibition ends with the room with the new graphics, designed by the Austrian studio Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann.
In addition to the virtual tour, in the YouTube channel of Ubis Design Network it is possible to watch a guided tour of the exhibition conducted by the artistic director of the festival Luciano
As soon as the museums are allowed to reopen, the exhibition Leopoldo Metlicovitz and Hausbrandt. Graphics and Image will remain open for an additional three weeks at the

, then sealing the end of the 2020 edition of eDesign Festival.
We are already working on the 2021 edition – says Luciano Setten, Artistic Director of eDesign Festival -. Despite the great difficulties of this edition that is about to end, we
are happy to have brought in the city big names from the world of architecture, design and art. What has given us the most satisfaction and has repaid all the discouragement of sudden closures, was
certainly the enthusiasm in the eyes of many visitors who have enjoyed, in presence and online, our exhibitions and participated in the talks. Every year there are more and more of them, and we can
only be proud of them.
