Vapsint was founded, under the brand name VAP Veneta Ammortizzatori, in the 1960s as a workshop specialising in the production of remanufactured shock absorbers for motor vehicles and the marketing of spare parts for the automotive sector.
In the 1970s, it began producing the first gas springs for automotive use.
