Description
The Ciareido refuge was built at an altitude of 1969 meters by the alpine battalions of Feltre, Pieve di Cadore and Gemona, in anticipation of the First World War as a military shelter and observation post.
Used in later years as a refuge for hunters and stable for goats, in the early seventies thanks to the voluntary work of the country of Lozzo di Cadore and the CAI section of Lozzo, after a general restructuring and important was used as a refuge d 'high altitude.
After long and prestigious managements our family had the honor and the joy to receive the management of the refuge.
