My name is Lisa, I’m from Treviso, a city in northeast Italy, and I create vintage-style bags and accessories.

In 2013 I started Ago, Filo e Poesia, a project I had been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl, when I used to peek into my aunt Letizia’s closet and marvel at her exquisite purses.

My grandmother Maria taught me how to use the old-fashioned treadle sewing machine. I personally design each of my creations.

Every article has its own story and vision, from the choice of the outer fabric to the shape, the frame, the inner lining. I seek originality in the most luxurious textiles, and sometimes I also use vintage, out of production fabric remnants.

The cotton of the outer layer and the silk of the linings come from Japan, the United States, and France. Each bag contains my love for the cultures I’ve encountered through my studies and my travels.

It also contains my devotion to art as the creation of unique objects, and my gratitude to past traditions, which I honor by embracing a retro style, while adapting it to modern times.

Finally, each bag contains a piece of me and of my life, because passion is not only time, ability and the material used in a creation, but also the soul of the person who created it.
