The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of CampusLogic Holdings, Inc. (‘CampusLogic’) by Blackstone, Inc. and Vista Equity Partners
Management LLC. (‘Vista’), all of the US. CampusLogic provides financial software solutions to higher education institutions and their students, targeted at facilitating the management of student
loans, almost exclusively in the US. Blackstone is a global asset management and investment firm. Vista is an investment firm focused on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns given that CampusLogic has no actual or foreseen activities in the European Economic Area, and given the
limited overlaps between the companies’ activities. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission’s competition website, in the public
case register under the case
number M.10630.
