Polin: It is a central theme for the restart after the pandemic.
Destro: It will make our voice heard in the most important world economic summit.
(Padua-Treviso - 25.01.2021) - Alessandra Polin, entrepreneur at Generalfilter in Paese and delegated Councillor for Internationalization of Assindustria Venetocentro, is in the Health & Life Sciences task force of the B20, the G20 Business Summit, the agency that brings together the most important economies in the world of which Italy assumes for the first time in history the Presidency.
This is an important opportunity for me and for our Association, in this strategic year, at global level, dedicated to the reconstruction after the serious impact of the pandemic - says Alessandra Polin -. I thank Confindustria and Sergio Dompè, who leads the task force in which I participate, for the trust. It is with great pride and commitment that I will take on this new role, also considering the centrality of the interventions on Health and Science not only in this phase but also for the years to come. It is for me a sort of 'return' to the international events of Confindustria, having participated in recent years to the G20Yea summit, with the Young Entrepreneurs from Sydney to Tokyo.
I congratulate Alessandra Polin - says the President of Assindustria Venetocentro, Leopoldo Destro -. Her active presence will be the important link of all of us with the largest business community in the world. With her, and with the whole Confindustria, we will be able to make our voice heard in all strategic sectors to 'redesign the future, include, share and act', to take up the message of the first B20 meeting.
On January 21 and 22, the debut of B20, chaired by Emma Marcegaglia and coordinated by Confindustria, was held with the Inception Meeting opened by the President of Confindustria Carlo Bonomi and Emma Marcegaglia herself. Speakers included Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri, US President Biden's climate envoy John Kerry, President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, European Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni, EIB Vice-President Dario Scannapieco and, in the follow-up sessions, leading representatives from politics, institutions, business and finance.
From February to July, the task forces, led by the main representatives of the Italian economic world, will meet monthly to define the document and the recommendations that will then be delivered, with the Final Communiqué on October 7-8 to the Italian Prime Minister, in his capacity as President of the G20, to be presented and discussed three weeks later, during the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the most advanced economies. Throughout the year, the B20 will ensure its presence at the main international appointments and the numerous events that will be held under the aegis of the G20, in Italy and abroad.
