The Benetton Foundation Research Centre continues, with a cycle of extra meetings, the reflection on the theme of Bodies, Landscapes, started with the seventeenth edition of the International Days of Landscape Studies (18-19-25-26 February 2021, video recordings available on the Facebook page in the Vimeo channel of the Foundation).
The second meeting is dedicated to the short film Corpi, paesaggi (Bodies, Landscapes), realized by Marco Zuin on the occasion of the days in order to leave an artistic mark related to the theme and to the period we are living, and to make memory of an edition held online in a historical moment in which the measure of physical distances and the strength of virtual representations proceed in opposite directions.
The short film focuses on the performance of Laura Moro, a dancer and choreographer active in research dance and in unconventional spaces, who crosses the Foundation's locations (Ca' Scarpa, the garden and auditorium in Via Cornarotta in Treviso, the oak wood and the fields of Casa Luisa and Gaetano Cozzi in Zero Branco) and with her movements, her physicality, her "being there", suggests the intensity of the relationship between body and landscape, evoking the themes of the discussion. During the days of study, in fact, we explored and retraced moments and thoughts in which the culture and the practice of landscape look, or have looked, to our body as an active presence, an essential subject of a world that transforms and reveals itself thanks to our physicality.
Speakers are Marco Zuin and Laura Moro, introduced by Simonetta Zanon, curator of the study days.
