Among the protagonists there will also be Jonni Malacarne, an Artificial Intelligence expert from Lamon - A new stage for the A-Ring Interreg Alpine Space project that sees Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti collaborating with bodies and institutions of the Alpine Macroregion.
Belluno, April 20, 2021 - Not even the pandemic can stop cross-border cooperation and research: in fact, on Thursday, April 22, the Alpine Innovation Lab will be held by Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti with the University of Milan Unimont as part of the A-Ring Interreg Alpine Space project. A unique event that aims to promote cooperation in the field of Research and Innovation between companies, universities, research centers, public administrations and NGOs operating in the Alps area, laying the foundations for future synergies in the development of innovative products and services.
European cooperation and innovation are the basis for a sustainable development of the Alpine macro-region, a dimension in which, as entrepreneurs from Belluno, we strongly believe - says Lorraine Berton, President of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti -. In this complicated historical phase, precisely on these fronts, we must press on the accelerator by putting together the good practices of each and promoting a contamination between companies and the world of University and Research. Only in this way, within a real "ecosystem of innovation", can we become more competitive and maintain our manufacturing at high quality levels.
It is also a signal that we want to give to the younger generations - Berton emphasizes - the demonstration that even in the Belluno area it is possible to innovate, grow and look to the world.
Berton herself reminds us of the many initiatives that have already been successfully launched in the area thanks to Confindustria, from the activation of the Luiss Business School in Belluno to the creation of the Digital InnovationHub in Feltre, without forgetting Industrio Radar: But we are not stopping here: the challenges that await us, from the post-Covid restart to the 2026 Olympics, are many and "networking" is essential beyond all rhetoric - Berton concludes.
The event of Thursday, April 22 will be divided into two parts.
The first, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, will feature a participatory discussion on the role of Research and Innovation in certain areas such as digital transformation, smart mobility and sustainability, themes that will be explored using the new "World Café" conversation technique.
Among the protagonists of the morning there will be Jonni Malacarne, from Lamon, expert in artificial intelligence (Bluetensor), Gabriele Grea (Impresa sociale Redmint), Gabriele Paglialonga (Industrio Ventures), Matilde Cecchi (Area Science Park) and Stefano Sala (University of Milan). Floriana Mulazzi from University of Milan will moderate.
From 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm will be held the Seed Lab, a laboratory that aims to generate innovative ideas within the themes identified and lay the groundwork for future collaborations in the creation of products and services.
The Seed Lab will be coordinated by Cristina Seu, project manager for Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, with the support of a consultant expert in Design Thinking.
Similar workshops to the one in Belluno on Thursday will be carried out by the other project partners: the results will be shared in order to define a development strategy for the Alpine macro-region.
The initiative is part of the Interreg Alpine Space 2014-2020, a transnational European program aimed at improving cooperation between regions. The aim of the project is to identify Research and Innovation priorities for the European Alpine Arc, creating a network between companies, universities and local institutions. Leading the group is the Unimont Pole of the University of Milan: in addition to Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti there are the Austrian University of Applied Sciences of Vorarlberg, the Slovenian Ministry of Education, the Faculty of Public Administration of the University of Ljubljana, the two German Universities of Applied Sciences of Kempten and Constance, the Regional Authority of Burgenland, the Lombardy Region, the University of Italian Switzerland and Plastipolis, French innovation cluster for the plastics and composites industry.
The event is open to SMEs, universities, research centers, public authorities and NGOs.
