Belluno, 8 July 2021 - It is not science fiction, but the present and the future, even the immediate future, of many companies in the area, which is why Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti dedicated an entire afternoon to the theme of artificial intelligence at the service of the business world, for the first event in presence after the health emergency.

The event was held on Thursday 8 July, in the presence of the participants, at Palazzo Doglioni Dalmas. Among the speakers was Jonni Malacarne, a young engineer from Lamon who is one of the leading experts in the field.

Artificial intelligence, often abbreviated to AI, is that mix of technologies which enables machines to perform activities typical of the human mind, a process which, for most economists and analysts, is unavoidable.

The pandemic has revolutionised the business world, accelerating various digital processes, including artificial intelligence, - says Stefano Giacomelli, - innovation delegate of the Association of Industrialists of Belluno. The task of entrepreneurs is to start this transformation as soon as possible in order to keep up with the times and the competition, -Giacomelli points out. We must do this without fear, accompanying this phase with a decisive step forward in terms of skills and investment in the human capital of the new generations.

Artificial intelligence, - explains Malacarne, CEO of Bluetensor srl, -is bringing real solutions to real problems in businesses all over the world, of any size and in any sector. We must promote the use of artificial intelligence as a force for good, helping people to free themselves from the most repetitive and exhausting tasks, both physical and mental.

The workshop, which was part of the ESF - funded project "Managing technological-organisational change to generate value" 158 - 0001 - 1010 - 2019 - saw the participation of Andrea Ferrazzi, director of Confindustria Belluno Belluno, and Luca Porcari, president of RPA Italy, who focused on the topics of digital technologies and the smart economy.

Jonni Malacarne discussed what artificial intelligence is and how to introduce it into the company, while lawyer Michele Iaselli, president of the National Association for the Defence of Privacy, explored the ethical and privacy aspects of the transformation.

Concrete cases were also discussed with Giuliano Fabris, project manager of BlueTensor Srl, and Marco Moscatti, CEO of Tec Eurolab and vice - president of Confindustria Emilia Giovani, who spoke about artificial intelligence applied to industrial computer tomography.
