Fusine di Zoldo, Church of San Nicolò
HARMONIES OF THE 18TH CENTURY
Journey in Austria between Baroque and Classicism
Massimiliano Raschietti, organ
The historic organ of the Church of San Nicolò was built in 1798 by a local craftsman, Agostino De Marco, with the intention of making the fir wood of the Zoldo Valley resonate: he conceived a specimen of great interest and extraordinary uniqueness, due to the particular characteristic of having almost all the pipes made of wood, including those on the façade.
Massimiliano Raschietti, who on this occasion will play pages from German literature, has been a several times finalist and winner of international organ competitions (Lucerne, Innsbruck, Freiberg and Borca) that have taken him to play in almost all of Europe, South America and Japan. He is the artistic director of “Pagine d’Organo (Organ Pages), an International Organ Festival organised by Antiqua Vox.
