On 7 December 2023, the Aula Magna of Palazzo San Leonardo in Treviso will host the event “Institutions at the service of citizens and businesses: Experiences of collaboration between Ca’ Foscari Venice University and the Treviso – Belluno I Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce”, an initiative jointly realised by the SELISI Centre and the Treviso – Belluno I Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of publicising the results of the experiences that have characterised this fruitful collaboration over the last five years, and which particularly concern the active didactic workshops for business internationalisation and international student mobility, intended as an opportunity for economies to meet.
During the morning there will be testimonies from students and companies that participated in the workshops from 2019 to 2023 and the internship experiences carried out by 6 students in companies selected by the Chamber of Commerce thanks to the involvement of the Cámara de Comercio Italiana – Barcelona.
The event will include a round table in which the main trade associations and personalities from the university sphere will participate through their representatives, with the aim of jointly reflecting on the directions to be taken for the next activities, gathering ideas and suggestions to continue offering professionalising and academically significant experiences.
I am convinced – points out the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti and Assocamerestero Mario Pozza – that fostering solid synergies between institutions and businesses is a fundamental pillar for the economic prosperity of a territory, capable of investing in young people, in the present economy, in current and necessary infrastructures, with an eye to planning for the common good. At a time of significant business change, even more so in times of high geopolitical and economic instability, we recognise the importance of adopting an innovative educational approach to adequately prepare new generations. Initiatives of such high educational value, such as those that the Chamber of Commerce and Ca’ Foscari are putting in place, synergistically involving experts, companies and talents from the territory, can intercept the evolution of future business and train better professionals and citizens, in a path whose ultimate goal is the certification of skills. Innovation moves the world. We are aware of the need to keep up and have fresh eyes, so as to remain competitive and attractive to young people, with the hope that they will live the experience abroad, but will work in Italy. Internationalisation is in the DNA of our entrepreneurial fabric and having a network of Italian entrepreneurs in the world in structured and above all institutional locations, as the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad are, is a strength that no other country has. The sharing of knowledge and values between universities, institutions, trade associations, businesses and civil society helps to strengthen the network of relations between the various players, fuelling the community’s sense of cohesion and at the same time fostering effective support for the business world, with the ultimate aim of generating innovative business models and outlining a new development path that puts people at the centre, also fostering the development of new professional skills that are useful in responding to the demands for a sustainable economic, social and environmental growth.
It was important – comments the President of the Italy America Chamber of Commerce and Councillor of Assocamerestero Alberto Milani – to share with the export laboratories the need to preside over the foreign market through new innovative formulas such as Piazza Italia. We are an open space capable of generating resources on the basis of sustainable and innovative economic models. Always willing to welcome valuable young people. www.pzitalia.com
The Director of the Treviso Campus further emphasises how – In the current scenario, business success also depends on the ability to adapt to the geopolitical context, making conscious use of available technologies. It therefore becomes essential to provide Export Managers with transversal knowledge and tools ranging from the definition of a commercial, communication and marketing strategy, to the evaluation of results, to skills in the use of digital technologies and logistics systems, to knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, to geopolitical awareness.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for networking among local players, thus offering the chance to find new stimuli and possible partnerships for developing future projects on which Ca’ Foscari University Venice and the Treviso – Belluno | Dolomites Chamber of Commerce are already working in synergy, thanks to a new agreement for the three-year period 2024-2026, with major innovations concerning the training of qualified and competent resources with respect to market needs.
