Today we propose Museo Etnografico Dolomiti (Dolomites Ethnographic Museum): it is located in an evocative setting at the foot of the Belluno Dolomites National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and is considered on a regional level as a pilot structure in the field of ethnographic museums, above all for the numerous research and cataloguing activities carried out in the province of Belluno, as well as for the initiatives to enhance the provincial ethnographic heritage. The Dolomites Ethnographic Museum is not only a place for the conservation of the material and immaterial heritage of the territory to which it refers, but also for study, interpretation, valorisation and the return of results to the community. The ways in which this happens are numerous (research, courses, seminars, conferences, educational activities, exhibitions, cataloguing projects, publications) and involve various professionals working in the field of demoethnoanthropological cultural heritage.
