Treviso, October 16, 2025. The Chamber of Commerce in Treviso hosted the award ceremony for students participating in the ninth edition of the Ideas Competition, which, for the 2024-2025 school year, addressed the theme “Sustainable Objects – Let’s Design Sustainability.”
The Chamber’s initiative is one of a number of activities dedicated to schools, which over the years has sought to vary the content offered in order to explore the pillars, values, and manifestations of sustainability and circularity from all angles.
For the ninth edition, the call for entries asked participants to create one or more objects from recycled materials, related to each other and capable of representing the areas of sustainability, summarized in the acronym ESG:
E = environment, S = social, G = governance.
In addition to the works created, the participating schools also made videos—shown in the hall during the awards ceremony and already published on the thematic portal www.impreseresponsabili.tvbl.it—documenting the stages of creation and on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
It is really great to see you here today- said President Mario Pozza –in this hall, which is the ‘home of businesses’, but which today welcomes you: students and teachers. This day is dedicated to your creativity, your commitment, and your desire to build a more sustainable future.
The “Sustainable Objects – Let’s Design Sustainability” competition was created with this very goal in mind: to give space to your ideas, your ability to observe the world with new eyes and to transform simple materials into important messages. Sustainability is not something distant: it is in the choices we make every day, in small gestures and concrete actions. You, with your projects, are demonstrating this to us. Thank you to all the schools that participated with passion and imagination. Heartfelt thanks also go to the three companies that chose to be with us today: Contarina, Valpe, and Savno. Their presence is important because it shows how the business world and the world of education can work together to build a future that is more attentive to the environment and to people.
The award ceremony was also attended by representatives from Contarina, Savno, and Valpe, companies that manage waste in the municipalities of the provinces of Treviso and Belluno through an integrated system that considers waste from production to collection, treatment, and recovery. These companies also develop projects dedicated to schools to raise awareness among citizens, enabling them to contribute to the sustainability of the territory.
The competition for schools offered three prizes for each level and grade:
1st prize: €3,000.00 (three thousand/00)
2nd prize: €2,000.00 (two thousand/00)
3rd prize: €500.00 (five hundred/00)
During the event, the following high schools were awarded prizes:
Liceo Artistico “Bruno Munari” in Vittorio Veneto (TV), winner of the first prize with the project “Tutto Ale”, a tactile book that could be used in primary schools to explain environmental sustainability in particular;
Liceo Artistico Statale di Treviso, winner of the second prize with the project E.S.G. “Environment – Social – Governance”, an object representing the three “E,” “S,” and “G” made from recycled materials.
The following primary schools were also awarded prizes:
IC di Susegana (TV) – “A. Manzoni” primary school, winner of first prize with the project “Il viaggio delle tre virtù” (The journey of the three virtues), a 3D board game that uses a set of questions divided according to the relevant pillar to explain some of the main aspects of sustainability;
IC di Cencenighe Agordino (BL) – “C. Ronchi” primary school in Vallada Agordina, winner of the second prize with the project “Nel villaggio della sostenibilità gli oggetti di impresa, ambiente e sociale sono una realtà!” (In the village of sustainability, business, environmental, and social issues are a reality!), a model that encompasses many ideas regarding good sustainability practices (use of renewable energy resources, recovery of materials, etc.).
The Medaglia d’Oro Emidio Paolin Middle School in Canale d’Agordo—part of the IC Cencenighe Agordino (BL) school district—was awarded a prize together with the C. Ronchi Primary School in Vallada Agordina for their collaboration on the project “In the village of sustainability, business, environmental, and social issues are a reality!”
The IC in Susegana was the school with the highest number of pupils involved, with 90 participants in the competition. As it was not possible to move the entire section A – from 1st to 5th grade and the current 5th B – a remote connection was set up so that all classes could participate in the award ceremony.
The IC in Cencenighe Agordino was also connected remotely, and in order to involve the students connected remotely, the Chamber of Commerce had the certificates delivered, which were handed out during the event by the school principal.
The cash prizes have already been paid out and can be spent by the schools to carry out new activities or purchase equipment or teaching materials.
The ‘Sustainable Objects – Let’s Design Sustainability’ ideas competition is just one of the Chamber’s projects dedicated to schools, as is the GenerAZIONE2026 project, which has already involved 42,000 students in the run-up to the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina. We will also soon be presenting the documentary film Il Sesto Cerchio (The Sixth Circle), which was awarded a prize by the international jury in Milan.
The Chamber of Commerce also provides a wide range of services to companies, aspiring entrepreneurs, and schools, both in person and remotely, to allow users to access them easily and with different technological supports.
