Dear IACC Members,
After nearly a decade of dedicated service, Alberto Milani’s final term as President of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is coming to a close. During this time, Alberto served as a valued partner in advancing the Chamber’s mission, bringing vision and energy to his role and helping to strengthen our network and expand our presence on both sides of the Atlantic.
Working closely with the IACC’s Board of Directors and staff, Alberto provided valuable support as we undertook a comprehensive transformation of the Chamber’s operations. This included a strategic restructuring of our business model, the relocation of our headquarters and a governance reform process that produced one of the most progressive sets of bylaws in the Italian chamber system. His encouragement and leadership helped create an environment where innovation could thrive; he supported the launch of new services such as the Italian citizenship program and the Cutting-Edge Conversations series and promoted the adoption of technologies that enhanced member engagement.
Throughout his tenure, Alberto also played a key role in advancing partnerships that complemented the Chamber’s growing programmatic reach. These collaborations gave rise to initiatives such as America Buys Italian, the NGA Show and the continued evolution of the Luxury Summit. He also contributed to the successful launch of the IACC’s Milan office and represented the Chamber on the Board of Assocamerestero as the NAFTA-area delegate—a position he will continue to hold for an additional year to ensure continuity in leadership.
As we thank Alberto for his dedicated service and thoughtful leadership, I am pleased to announce the election of Francesco Farina, CEO of B&B Italia USA, as the new President of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce. A highly regarded leader in Italian design, Francesco brings over 20 years of international business experience, including the successful expansion of Scavolini throughout the Americas. At B&B Italia, he continues to promote Italian excellence through high-profile projects and strategic partnerships. With his deep roots in the Italian business community and a forward-looking approach to leadership, Francesco is exceptionally well positioned to build on the strong foundation Alberto established, shepherding the IACC into its next era of growth and impact.
