Tarzo (TV), September 6, 2024 – Return to the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the Sunset Concert among the Lakes dedicated to Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” scheduled for Saturday, September 7, starting at 7 p.m. in Colmaggiore di Sotto, Tarzo (TV), next to the Va dee Femene Park. The event is part of the program “Harmonies 2024: Music in the Landscape and Music for the Landscape” and is organized by the City of Tarzo with the support of IPA Terre Alte della Marca Trevigiana and in collaboration with the Association for the Heritage of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, with the support of Banca Prealpi San Biagio.
The exciting notes of Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons will resound in the beautiful natural setting between the lakes of Santa Maria and San Giorgio in the municipality of Tarzo (TV). The Piccola Orchestra Veneta, in a special formation of 18 elements, will perform this musical masterpiece in a concert that promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The sunset concert between the lakes of Santa Maria and San Giorgio, known as the lakes of Revine, represents a moment of extraordinary beauty and significance for the area, comments Marina Montedoro, president of the Association for the Heritage of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. These initiatives also allow us to tell and make better known the millennial history of our territory, if we think that the lakes of Revine are what remains of a much larger lake that stretched for more than seven kilometers formed as a result of the withdrawal of the glacier present in the valley in the last glacial period more than fifteen thousand years ago.
The extraordinary response we have had with the dawn and sunset concerts, particularly in Sernaglia della Battaglia with an attendance of almost 6,000 people, is proof that these initiatives appeal to the public and allow us to promote the uniqueness of our hills while giving the community the emotions that music can arouse. The notes of Vivaldi that we have chosen for this evening, immersed in such an evocative natural setting, celebrate the essence of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene by offering an experience that combines music and landscape in a harmonious dialogue.
A free event not to be missed for music and nature lovers in an evocative location immersed in World Heritage beauty. It is advisable to bring blankets or camping chairs as they will not be available on site. In case of bad weather, however, the concert will be held at the Auditorium of Banca Prealpi San Biagio with limited seating.
