The Easter weekend has confirmed Asolo as one of the region’s most popular destinations, thanks to rising numbers and visitor turnout that exceeded even the most optimistic forecasts. Aided by favorable weather, thousands of visitors chose the “City of a Hundred Horizons” to spend a few hours immersed in history, culture, and nature.

Particularly positive signs are coming from the local lodging establishments. The renowned Hotel Villa Cipriani, for example, recorded an average room occupancy rate of 77% over the weekend, peaking at 85% on Saturday – an increase of approximately 15% compared to 2025. The international presence was also significant, with 40% of guests coming from Austria and Germany and 30% from Italy. The situation at Hotel Asolo, a three-star property at the foot of the hill, was more stable, with occupancy rates in line with last year and a clientele consisting primarily of Italians.

The campervan area was fully booked, hosting 64 vehicles over the Easter long weekend, with a well-represented international presence: 45 Italians, 12 Germans, 5 Austrians, as well as visitors from Belgium and France. Cultural sites also saw high attendance. The Rocca di Asolo remained the most visited site, with just under 900 visitors on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Positive figures were also recorded for the Civic Tower and the Civic Museum, where the Florilegia exhibition saw an increase, albeit a more modest one, compared to last year. There was no lack of outdoor events either, with guided tours of Villa Freya selling out and strong turnout at the Asolo Alpine Hut along the hillside trails, a rest stop for residents and tourists alike.

Asolo’s central square, on the other hand, was primarily animated by so-called “local tourism,” though there was also a significant presence of foreign visitors, particularly German-speaking ones. This was also confirmed by local business owners, such as Riccardo Gemmato, owner of Pizzeria Cornaro It was a weekend with a large turnout from both locals and foreign tourists. Asolo is increasingly establishing itself as a premier tourist destination.

Easter has always been one of the most popular times of year for our town – comments Asolo’s mayor,Franco Dalla Rosaand this year, too, the numbers paint an extremely positive picture. There is no doubt that Asolo’s beauty continues to be a magnet for those seeking a few hours immersed in nature and history, in the spirit of the Cittaslow philosophy.

Finally, Beatrice Bonsembiante, Asolo’s Councilor for Tourism, stated – The results of recent days, together with the trend of the past few years, confirm that our efforts to promote tourism are paying off, as is the growing attention at the national and international levels, further reinforced by the ‘Best Tourism Villages’ designation awarded by the UN. The goal now is to further consolidate these visitor flows throughout the year, thanks in part to the high quality and professionalism of Asolo’s hospitality sector.
