Rome, 4 April 2023 – Memorandum and articles of association, statutes, balance sheets, company property plans, visas, sworn statements and much more. The milestone of two million adhesions has been reached for impresa.italia.it, the Chambers of Commerce service – developed by InfoCamere – with which the owners and legal representatives of Italian companies can access, download and share (even on the move and at no cost) the official documents of their company, which are in the Companies Register. Thanks to the service, entrepreneurs using it have so far been able to download – at no cost – 7.3 million official documents of their companies.

“This milestone confirms that the Chambers of Commerce System is interpreting the concept of digital transformation in the sense closest to the needs of businesses,” said Unioncamere President Andrea Prete, “focusing on ease of use, portability, and security. Not only that, each membership represents an entrepreneur with a digital identity who, thanks to the use of smartphones and tablets, is becoming increasingly aware of the value of the Chambers of Commerce’s information assets. A heritage that the entrepreneur himself has helped to create and that, in this way, his Chamber gives back to him with the added value of digital.”

“This is a significant result,” says the President of InfoCamere, Lorenzo Tagliavanti, “which is the result of the commitment of the entire Chamber System, in its institutional partnership action with businesses, for the provision of digital tools of real simplification and innovation. This tool, realised by InfoCamere, is a concrete and zero-cost service that can boost the ‘digital transformation’ of our enterprises”.

Who are the two million ‘digital’ entrepreneurs and what do their enterprises do

86% of the entrepreneurs who have activated the service head a company with fewer than 10 employees, 18% run a women’s business, 16% are artisans, more than half (56%) are under 50 years old and only 8% are representatives of a company ‘under 35’, 21% work in commerce and 15% in construction. Overall, entrepreneurs accessing impresa.italia.it represent 33.2% of the more than 5 million companies registered in the Chamber of Commerce Register.

In absolute terms, the Top Five of accessions sees Lombardy (where the number of accessions exceeded 320,000) leading the regions, followed by Lazio (192,000), Puglia (171,000) and, paired, Veneto and Campania (165,000). More in detail, the provinces with the highest number of activated drawers are Rome and Milan (separated by a pasting in favour of the former with about 150 thousand adhesions), Naples (79 thousand) and Turin (70 thousand).
