Trade fairs are a cornerstone of our economic development because they serve as showcases and business opportunities for our companies. They are essential opportunities, especially in this period of economic stagnation, where it is necessary to provide businesses—especially smaller ones—with the right tools for growth. For these reasons, the Region has once again decided to invest in the trade fair sector by entrusting Veneto Innovazione with the management of a new call for proposals, amounting to over 906,000 euros.
This was declared by the Regional Assessor for Economic Development, Roberto Marcato, who announced the approval of the resolution through which the regional government assigns the management of the new call for proposals to Veneto Innovazione. This initiative aims to develop the trade fair sector, offering contributions for promotion/training, qualification and modernization, energy efficiency, and digitalization of the regional trade fair industry. Regarding the financial aspect, the total expenditure is 906,399.02 euros for the distribution of contributions.
The trade fair sector, after the severe crisis caused by the pandemic period during which activities were essentially halted, – concluded Marcato, – has made a strong recovery last year, and today it is crucial to decisively support its further relaunch. The Region, with the utmost spirit of collaboration recently demonstrated through the convening of the trade fair table, remains highly focused on this sector, offering the maximum support possible.
Applications for contributions can be submitted from the date of publication of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Veneto Region until March 31, 2025. The call will be available on the Veneto Region website, under the “Bandi, Avvisi, Concorsi” page and the “Attività produttive – Fiere e promozione” page.
