On Thursday 18 January at 6 p.m. the exhibition Finestre in Val del Biois (Windows in Val del Biois) Enzo Demattè. Note, racconti, poesie (Notes, stories, poems), organised by the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche and the Fondazione Papa Luciani, curated by Donata and Francesca Demattè, opens in the Bomben spaces in Treviso, after the first stage in Canale d’Agordo (Belluno).
It is a tribute to Enzo Demattè (1927-2014), born in Trento but from Treviso by adoption, whose library and archives are preserved and enhanced by the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche. One of the most attentive intellectuals of the last century, writer, poet, scholar and teacher, Enzo Demattè was able to intercept and make his own the centuries-old culture of the Belluno Dolomites, and it is on this particular aspect of his sensitivity as a man and scholar that the exhibition focuses.
The public inauguration will be attended by Luigi Latini, director of the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche; Loris Serafini, director of the MusAL-Museo Albino Luciani; Donata and Francesca Demattè; Giuseppe Mendicino, writer, author of the preface to the new edition of the volume La Valle dei Santi alle finestre (Nuovi Sentieri). Readings by Caterina Minute.
