Treviso, November 15, 2024 – The Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress award ceremony, now in its fourth edition, took place in the Borsa Hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso–Belluno|Dolomiti. The event, attended by 400 participants, including award recipients, their families, numerous mayors, civil and military authorities, and with many moments of heartfelt emotion, celebrated remarkable contributions to the region.

 

What the Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress Ceremony Represents

The Chamber of Commerce of Treviso–Belluno|Dolomiti is the custodian of the values that drive the region forward. Through the “Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress” competition, it honors the stories of individuals who have devoted their lives, with passion and dedication, to the growth of our economic and social communities.

Each award represents more than a simple recognition: it is a collective embrace, a sincere applause for entrepreneurs, workers, and individuals who, through daily commitment, have transformed challenges into achievements, leaving a lasting mark on the Treviso and Belluno economies.

In addition, the special awards from the Chamber Board recognize those who, across diverse fields and around the globe, have brought honor to our homeland, inspiring pride and setting an example for future generations. The Chamber of Commerce of Treviso–Belluno|Dolomiti is proud to celebrate these achievements, renewing trust in our shared future.

 

What Is the Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress Award?

The Chamber of Commerce of  Treviso–Belluno|Dolomiti, like many Italian Chambers of Commerce, organizes the “Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress” competition every two years. This prestigious award acknowledges businesses, workers, and individuals who have distinguished themselves across various economic sectors, contributing with unwavering dedication to the growth of the local economy.

The competition also includes a Special Award from the Chamber Board. The event is meticulously planned to offer guests a welcoming experience and ensure they feel at home in the house of enterprises.

The ceremony was opened by a performance from Venetian tenor Massimo Zanetti, setting a melodious tone for the event.

 

President Mario Pozza’s Address

Chamber President Mario Pozza inaugurated the awards ceremony by presenting economic data and the values championed by the Chamber. He highlighted its efforts to support the digital and ecological transitions of local businesses through initiatives such as grants, which were increased in 2024 to a total of €1.3 million. Additionally, he emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to sustainability education, export training, support for women entrepreneurs, and awards for corporate social responsibility and innovation in schools. These initiatives reflect a dedication to fostering an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable economy to help businesses thrive while maintaining regional competitiveness and appeal.

Focusing on the upcoming Milan–Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Pozza underscored the significance of this event for the territory’s future. He discussed the GenerAZIONE2026 project, which, over three years, has engaged 30,000 students in partnership with the Veneto Region and FICTS. The project aims to instill Olympic values and highlight the role of sports in fostering a better society. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to building a cohesive, growth-oriented community, emphasizing the importance of educating and empowering young people as the foundation of a sustainable and inclusive future.

With great emotion and pride, in the presence of the authorities and administrators, being close to the territories, understood as businesses, administrations and associations, with this award is a wonderful opportunity, not only institutional, but of meeting and knowledge – stresses the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno |Dolomiti Mario Pozzato recognize the great value that represents each person awarded, together with their families, essential building blocks for the economic development and sustainable protection of the territories. Thank you for the value of the work and the example that this generation sets for the next generations. With this award, the Chamber of Commerce wants to give significance to the excellences of today, to reinforce the value they represent for our future “of doing good business” in a territory that is preparing to welcome the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games along with the great challenges dictated by innovation such as Artificial Intelligence that thanks to the values that your history of great businessmen and women and institutions demonstrates, we will be able to make the best of. And just as we will be able to trust in the future with the great challenges of digital and ecological transition. The Chamber of Commerce stands beside you, the young people, and with you we represent the best of Made in Italy.

I thank the invited authorities and administrators who represent the essential network for the dialogue aimed at protecting and safeguarding the beauty of the territories and our entrepreneurial excellence.

The ceremony underscored the collaborative network between institutions, with notable speeches by Mayor Mario Conte, Provincial President Stefano Marcon, Regional Councilor Federico Caner, and the Deputy Prefect of Treviso, who all commended the honorees. A highlight of the event was the screening of a video showcasing the three editions of the “GenerAZIONE2026 – Sport Powered by Youth and Education” initiative, aimed at promoting Olympic values in preparation for Milan–Cortina 2026.

Awarded for his professional and passionate contribution to promoting the region, enhancing local production, and fostering Olympic and Paralympic values in Treviso and Belluno. As an esteemed IOC member and FICTS President, his leadership in the GenerAZIONE2026 project has strengthened the integration of sports, culture, and entrepreneurship.
