Venice-Marghera, 31 August 2023 – An Announcement has been published on the Unioncamere website with the aim of constituting a list of experts for technical-consulting assistance activities for SMEs on the UNI/Pdr 125:2022 reference practice for achieving gender equality certification.
The experts selected will have the task of supporting enterprises in the certification process by providing technical assistance and accompaniment services.
A new element is thus added to the path started in 2022 that sees the Chamber system at the forefront, following the agreement signed between Unioncamere and the Department for Equal Opportunities, to support companies in undertaking the voluntary path leading to gender equality certification envisaged by the NRPR, using the resources of the Next Generation EU.
The NRP has earmarked ten million euros for the gender equality certification system. The certification is issued to companies by accredited bodies. In March 2023, there were 231 certified companies in Veneto. According to the latest data from Accredia, the Italian accreditation body that qualifies bodies to issue certification, the certificate has been awarded to more than 1,300 company locations or production sites in Italy.
The Requirements
To be included in the list, candidates must be holders of a VAT number and hold a Master’s/Master’s degree. Documented skills and experience in the field of gender equality, quality management systems (QMS) and related to UNI/PdR 125:2022 practice, UNI ISO 30415:2021, SA 8000 and/or PAS 24000, as well as labour law, will be assessed.
The qualification of Auditor/Lead Auditor of management systems for gender equality – UNI PdR 125:2022, as well as experience on behalf of accredited certification bodies as an expert auditor for gender equality will also be assessed.
Application deadlines
Applications for inclusion on the list must be submitted no later than the closing date of the submission deadlines in the time windows: by 4 September 2023 for the first time window, and from 15 January to 5 February 2024 for the second.
