The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West presents the exhibition Italian Sport Shoes Design #WeMakeSportHappen, offering visitors an immersive journey through the innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship that have made Italy a global leader in sports footwear design.
Curated by the Treviso-based Fondazione SportSystem, the temporary exhibition showcases the evolution and legacy of Italian sports product design through iconic footwear, multimedia installations, interviews with industry pioneers, and video presentations from some of Italy’s most renowned sports brands. It presents the people, products, and ideas that have contributed to the worldwide success and excellence of Made in Italy sports footwear.
Visitors will discover how Italian companies transformed technical sports footwear through groundbreaking design, advanced technology, and a relentless pursuit of performance and style. The exhibition highlights the intersection of sport, innovation, manufacturing excellence, and cultural heritage.
The exhibition is organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and presented in Richmond by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West (ICCCW), with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver, the Richmond Olympic Oval Corporation, and Fondazione SportSystem.
