Treviso, 6 June 2024 – The first of the three days of GenerAZIONE2026 began today. The event was kicked off by the notes of the Carabinieri Fanfare of the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment Lombardy – Milan, on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the founding of the Carabinieri Corps. The city was involved in the presentation of the Chamber’s headquarters “dressed Milan Cortina 2026” for the occasion, creating a unique and engaging environment, thanks to an en plein air exhibition with 104 exclusive Olympic Images, which transformed Piazza Borsa into a visual tribute to the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The selected images aim to capture the essence of the Olympic spirit, celebrating moments of excellence, inclusion and determination.

But that is not all, among the exhibits, in addition to the wonderful Olympic images, there were also the works (selected from the 5,850 proposals received) of the students who took part in the 3rd edition of the ‘GenerAZIONE2026 – Sport powered by Youth and Education’ project and who were able to interpret and represent the values of sport and Olympism.

The ribbon was then cut to the notes of the Carabinieri Fanfare. The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomites Mario Pozza welcomed the FICTS delegation, who visited two companies, Dersut Caffè and Latteria Soligo, and the authorities and sports champions in the morning, highlighting the importance of putting young people, the future protagonists of doing good business, at the centre. Building an event of this magnitude around them, with GenerAZIONE2026,’ he pointed out, ’is an expression of attention and successful planning of a territory that knows how to network and look at the future.

Prof. Ascani pointed out that the project has become part of the ‘Education Gen26’ programme of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation. Veneto and Lombardy in a twinning, celebrated at the trophies in Milan, starts from young people in view of the appointment of Milano Cortina 2026. In his role as President of the FICTS Federation, he welcomed his Delegates, chosen among the representatives of the Federations in the 130 countries of the 5 Continents. A unique opportunity to make known  and promote the excellence of Veneto’s business and to make known the tourist attractiveness of the territory. In the wonderful Mario del Monaco Theatre, Mameli’s national anthem, performed by the Fanfare, gave solemnity and at the same time deep emotion. The energy of the young people transmitted rhythm to the dynamic programme that saw Olympic champions awarded the Guirlande d’Honneur Ficts Career Achievement Award on stage:
