Melbourne, February 27, 2026 – Strengthening economic and institutional relations, consolidating dialogue with the Italian community, and opening up new market prospects for local businesses: these are the objectives of the mission to Australia by Mario Pozza, President of Assocamerestero, the Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce, and Venicepromex.

During the institutional visit, which is taking place in various locations across the country, President Pozza – accompanied by the CEO of Venicepromex Franco Conzato – met with H.E. the Italian Ambassador to Australia Nicola Lener, H.E. Consul General Chiara Mauri, the Honorable Nicola Caré, former Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sydney, and Senator Francesco Giacobbe.

President Pozza emphasized that the dialogue focused on the strategic role of Asia and Australia as mature, solid markets with high potential for the Italian production system.

Australia is a market of great interest to our companies Pozza pointed out – not only because of the quality of demand and the stability of the economic environment, but also because of the presence of a lively and active Italian community, which continues to promote the value of Made in Italy and to support relations with the territories of origin.

During the meetings, the topic of preparing for the Southeast Asia Forum, which will be held in Treviso in the coming months, was also addressed. The initiative aims to promote structured dialogue between institutional operators, public bodies, and companies interested in the opportunities offered by the dynamic markets of the Asia-Pacific and Australia regions, with a particular focus on companies in Treviso and Belluno.

The mission is part of a broader internationalization strategy promoted by the chamber of commerce system, aimed at generating concrete business opportunities, strengthening institutional networks, and providing companies with operational tools to approach foreign markets with competence and vision.

This is therefore a constant effort to serve companies, accompanying them on their path to international growth and consolidating the region’s position in global markets.
